Penny Black Saturday #174!

Hello! I hope this finds you well! It's time again for the Penny Black Saturday challenge! Thanks for all your fab On The Move entries! This week is another great theme, Too Cute to Spook! Penny Black do loads of fabulous Halloween images to hopefully it shouldn't be a tricky one! Plus, this week there's a sweet little Halloween Hedgie stamp up for grabs!
This theme gave me a great excuse to (buy) and use these gorgeous little Mimi stamps! My little niece Lulu is having a Halloween party for her little friends on Friday so I thought I'd make this card for her, and as she's only 2 I didn't want it to be too scary so this little fancy dress Mimi is perfect I thought!
Here's the challenges I'd like to enter it into:
I {heart} 2 Stamp - this sketch
Allsorts - Halloween
PaperPlay - Use Black
Paper Sundaes - Halloween/Autumn
Papertake - Spooky Hues
ABC Challenge - B = Boo
Cat's Corner - Halloween
Thanks for looking, have a great weekend!

Penny Black Saturday #151!

Good morning all! It seems Friday the 13th lived up to it's name with all the Blogger problems but all seems to be fine now - hopefully! (The last Friday the 13th I got a parking ticket - hmm, this may be a superstition I'll start to believe!) But anyway, I'm here for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and it's super duper popular at the moment, we'd like to see your Clean and Simple cards! Let your Penny Blacks be centre stage! 1-2-3 Stitch are sponsoring us this week with a $20 voucher to their store to help you along!
I've gone for a bright card as I'm not very good at leaving lots of white space, I just need to fill it!! But I'm quite pleased with how it came out, although the image could have been a little bigger - or the card smaller!! ;-)
But it's for these challenges-
Cat's Corner - Birthday, Balloons & Bright
Stamp Something - Anything Goes & (blog hop)
Have a lovely weekend, thanks for looking!
Supplies-
Image - Penny Black 'Bubbly' clear set
Colouring - Copics
Embossing - 'Swiss Dots' Cuttlebug folder
Sentiment - Elzybells
Card - stash
Gems - Anita's gem wheel

Penny Black Saturday #137!

Evening all! Another late post but at least I've got the right day! I hope you're all having a good weekend so far, I'm feeling a bit fragile today due to a few White Russians last night - oops!
Anyway, here's my card for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge. This week is Love is...and we'd like you to complete the sentence on or inside your card! There's 2 gorgeous prizes to be won this week, a cute teddy stamp from Penny Black Inc and a gorgeous bundle of ribbons from The Ribbon Girl! And if that wasn't enough, we also have the lovely Helen as a Guest Designer for this month, I think she's joined in with every single challenge - even I'm nowhere near that record!
Here's my card using another of the 12 Days of Christmas stamps - they're so versatile, I hardly ever use them for Christmas cards! And of course it's for a few other challenges -
Friday Sketchers - this sketch
Top Tip Tuesday - Girlie card
ABC Challenge - N for Nestabilities
PaperPlay - Use a stamp
Cat's Corner - Black + 1 other colour.
That's all for now! Have a lovely evening and thanks for looking!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #47!

Hello! I hope you're all well! I've been a busy little bee while all this snow has been around and finally finished all my Christmas cards, I did some batch making over the weekend so I'll show you them another time (if I remember!) But it's time for another Truly Scrumptious sketch, the last of 2010 with the optional extra of 'Frame it'! Basically give your image a fancy frame! I really wanted to use this cute image for my mum and dads card as it's a little bit like Poppy was as a kitten (even now as a big fat mog she tries to climb up the inside branches of the tree!) and I wanted to make some kind of haphazard frame. I couldn't find any bauble or light images small enough so I decided to draw them! Hopefully it's not too obvious! I've covered them with glossy accents to make them seem more realistic. I've also used the tutorial Dena posted on her blog about glittering over the image, I used my VersaMark pen to glitter emboss over the baubles and star on the image and I also did it over the sentiment, it's such a lovely effect, thanks Dena!
This is also for the following challenges: Mo's Digi Challenge - Glitz and Glimmer, Spoonful of Sugar - A Christmas Card, Cat's Corner - also a Christmas Card, Top Tip Tuesday - use Ribbon and ABC Christmas Challenge - Yuletide (I've used the Red and Green choice and the Holly and Berries). Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Image - 'Cat's in the Christmas Tree' from Mo's Digital Pencil
Colouring - Copics & Glossy Accents
Papers - Forever Friends 'Santa's on his Way'
Ribbon - Ribbon Girl
Sentiment - made on the PC
Gems - PaperMania

Trick or Treating!

Afternoon all! I managed to squeeze a bit of time out of this weekend to make a card so I thought I'd better get on a show it! It's another combo card I'm afraid and the challenges are - Mo's Digi Challenge - which is this sketch (which I've flipped), Cat's Corner - Halloween (even though it's technically a dog, he's dressed as a cat!) and this weeks Stamp with Fun which is also Halloween. I loved colouring this image, it's so detailed, I prefer this to great expanses of space, I can never get that to look smooth. The background I did with a watercolour pencil and even though I wanted it to look slightly texture, this might have gone a bit far! Oh well! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Image - 'Trick or Treat' by Mo's Digi Pencil
Colouring - Copics & watercolour pencils
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Happy Haunting'
Sentiment - Paula Pascual
Other - Deckled edge scissors & Circle Nestabilities

Friday Sketchers #70 & Cat's Corner #9!

Hi again! I hope you've all had a nice weekend! I've done absolutely nothing and loved it! Although I did make this card! It's for the Cat's Corner which is to make a card with an Autumn theme and of course feature a cat, I hope Halloween counts as autumn! It's also for this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch which I've flipped to fit this stamp on. I've used this cute Witches cat from Alota stamps and some of the funky Pink Petticoat Happy Haunting papers which I managed to nab last year before they disappeared! I've tried the technique where the image goes over the edge of the Nestie, except don't have the oval Nesties so I used my Fiskars template! Thanks for looking!
Supplies-
Stamp - 'Cat on Broom' by Alota Stamps
Colouring - Copics
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Happy Haunting' & Bazill Bling 'Black Tie'

Morning! Here's another quick post before work I'm afraid! It's for a challenge blog I found while hopping the other day called Cat's Corner and it's a German (but translated) blog for all those cat lovers to use all the gorgeous kitty stamps they may have! This week is a sketch, I flipped the oval to fit this cute stamp! It's also for the Winter Wonderland challenge which I've twisted slightly, it's to make a Christmas decoration but I need to get on with cards so I've used and image with decorations in it! I hope you like it! Oops, this took longer than I thought and I'm late!
