Garden Party Birthday!

Good morning! Well, today is my due date but still no sign of Baby Steward! :-) I've been keeping myself busy making a pregnancy scrapbook - having a project on the go is definitely the way forward!

I'm back today though to share a card I've made using the gorgeous Garden Kit from Buttons for Brains. This one is focussing on the gorgeous papers and I've combined them with a bit of stamping and die cutting, I think I'll save this card for my mums birthday in August. Ive used this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch and I'm also going to enter into this weeks Creative Inspirations challenge which is Birthdays, and Simon Says Stamp Die Crazy challenge. I hope you like it, thanks for visiting!

Supplies;
Papers - Dovecraft 'Garden Party'
Sentiment - Mama Elephant 'Make a Wish'
Dies - Nestabilities squares, MFT 'Notched Tag', 'Butterflies' & 'Leafy Flourish'
Other - cream embossing powder & clear gems

A couple of cards and some news! :-)

Hello! What a gorgeous day! Perfect for sitting inside in my craft room... :-/ Not really, which is why this is such a quick card this morning! It's for this weeks Muse challenge which is this gorgeous baby card by Gillian. I cased the baby theme plus the simple layout with a popped up stitched panel. I've also used this weeks Less is More challenge of 3 colours or 3 of one colour, I've gone for the latter. It's one ink pad but its a Kaleidacolor ink pad of various blues, I just inked my sentiment with 3 of the bands of colour, quite subtle but gives a nice ombré look :-)

Now for my news, the very lovely Liz from Buttons for Brains has asked me to be a design team member for her new shop! She sells gorgeous card making kits using loads of the fave makes, Basic Grey, Hero Arts etc! Very cool!

I've been playing with the Garden Party kit this week, all the links will be in the supplies list below for any of my cards :-) I made it for the Paper Players sketch but as I was making it, the challenge was ending! Oops! But I also made it for this weeks Colour Q challenge and Creative Inspirations which is Spring Flowers. Thanks for looking! Have a lovely weekend!

Birthday Wishes!

Hello! I'm back after another unplanned break! i don't realise I'm doing it as I still seem to be blog snooping and making stuff, just forgetting to actually upload it! But I'm back with another card, perfect for one of my boozy friends! I got the new Memory Box die and thought it would make a nice border, so I cut it out multiple times from this yummy glitter card and popped it up on some foam pads. I hope you like it and thanks for dropping by!

Fancy Pants!

Hello! What a lovely day! I'm sat here with all the windows open - such a welcome change from having the heating on!! I'm back with another card. I bought the Fancy Pants Trendsetter pad last month and I absolutely love it but love it in the kind of way where I don't want to cut into it! But when I saw it was the inspiration for this week Colour Throwdown challenge, I thought I'd get stuck in! (I've made a second already with the positive from this die cut so I'll be back in a while to show you) Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!

Peacock Feather!

Evening! I hope you're having a nice week, it always seems much easier after Wednesday! I'm back with a card I've made after my little play session at the weekend. At the Make It Show I bought this beautiful Peacock Feather stamp - feathers are all the rage don't cha'know! ;-) so I thought I would break out my Gelatos that have never been used yet and make this.
I stamped and embossed the feather with clear powder then scribbled a bit with the Gelatos and swirled it around with water. Once that was dry, I scribbled more on my craft mat, sprayed with water and sort of mushed the panel into it (I'm making this sound so technical aren't I?!) Again, once it was dry, I sprayed the glimmer mist all over it, it sort of shows in the second piccy. It didn't start out as a card but sort of evolved! As my mum was with me when I bought the stamp and she said she liked it, I've made this her Mothers Day card. I hope you like it, hopefully I'll be back soon!

Cream & Black!

Hi! How has the weekend gone already?! It was lovely though, roast chicken for lunch, now all eaten and cleared away and we're about to settle down to a film. I hope you've had a nice sunday!
I made this card yesterday for this weeks Less is More challenge. I got this Stampin' Up Piercing set as a freebie in this springs Stamp-a-faire, I don't have the dies that lots of them match to though, so I pierced the patterned then sketched around it on the back and cut it out, it didn't go too badly! I hope you like it and thanks for visiting!

Lace & Teapots!

Hiya! I hope you're all having a lovely day! We've been very productive, card making and gardening respectively, then a lovely big bowl of French Onion soup and a glass of wine - bliss!
Here's one of the cards I've made, its for Jamie's mums birthday on Tuesday. We've got her an afternoon tea as a gift so I wanted her card to match. I've had this stamp for ages and ages and I've not sure why I haven't used it, as it goes with most of my stash!! I also gave the sewing machine another airing, I think my stitches are getting straighter...no...?! ;-)
Thanks for looking, I've just got the new Pink Petticoat download so I'm off to play!!

Sweet Friend!

Morning! I hope you're all well! I'm back with another little card I made this weekend. It came together by accident really! I was playing around with the Sweet Life stamp and made this rose, then thought I'd cut it out, then realised the yellow was the same as this scrap of paper that was on my desk and the card was born! That's about it really! I hope you like it and thanks for visiting!

Penny Black Saturday - January Challenge!

Hiya! Happy New Year to all my lovely blog readers! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. I've been to New York! Hee hee! It was Ah-Mazing!! Slightly marred by both of us being ill but we'll brush over that! I even got time to go to a little craft shop called the Ink Pad. The only paper crafting and stamping shop in NYC apparently, I find that quite odd but there you go! :-) It was crammed full of lovely things, I could have easily spent a couple of hours (and quite a few dollars) in there but I managed to get a few little bits while Jamie hung around waiting for me!

Any-hoo, the reason for this (slightly late) post is there's a new Penny Black Saturday challenge! This one is very appropriate considering I'm back to work tomorrow, January Blues! Yep, we'd like to see mostly blue tones on your cards & projects. We've got vouchers to be won from The Ribbon Girl, J&C Creations and 1-2-3 Stitch!

Here's my card, I thought it was a perfect challenge for a baby boy card (shame it wasn't January Pinks as my cousin had a little girl on new years eve! I'll get cracking on another one for her!) I broke out the Papertrey Hexagons again. I've not used them without the in between bits before but as this card is bigger than the cover plate, I just laid it over and popped the pieces in before removing it and moving it across the card, I love the effect! Sort of like a little baby's blanket! Right, I've rambled on quite enough for one day so here's the card, thanks for looking!
