Beatrix Potter Sneak Peeks!

Hello again! I hope you all had a good weekend, whether it be celebrating St Patricks Day or relaxing on Mothers Day! My mums choice of things to do was a pub quiz!! And the best one nearby isn't til tonight so that's what we're doing!
Today I've got more Sneak Peeks to show you today for the Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter Pick of the Day shows tomorrow. This nasty virus wiped me out for a few days and I forgot so I thought I'd show a couple of cards!
First up is this little sweetie from the Timmy Tiptoes stamp set and CD, and these gems are from the Papercrafting kit. I love these papers, especially the ones with the mini designs in the background and the lovely floral papers. I also dug out my watercolour pencils for this one!

Next up is a card perfect for a man using the new Jeremy Fisher CD. It's a huge card, A5! I've used one of the frame toppers for the front (with a bit of glaze and glitter for the shimmery water), matching papers & sentiment. Then inside I've used one of the inserts with a poem from the Verse Writer and one of the image toppers, all from the CD! Then the twill & gems are from the Papercrafting kit! Phew! I hope you like them, thanks for looking!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #193!

Good morning! I hope you all are well! I've had a rubbish week, struggled through a day at work feeling rubbish, the next one off sick then struggled through yesterday again and now I still feel c**p!!! And I love my saturdays! :-( Oh well, I'll stop feeling sorry for myself and tell you about this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, and it's a nice and easy one, This, That and The Other! Or Anything Goes to you and I! So go mad and make what you wish just remember to include a Penny Black something as your focal point. This weeks prize is this lovely Penny Black stamp from Crimson Cloud.
And here is my card! I've finally made my mums Mothers Day card, now just my brothers and husbands to go! ;-) I used this gorgeous stamp from the Spring 2012 release and to colour it, I used the technique I leant on the Copic workshop I went on. You colour in the stamp, spritz it with Colourless blending soloution then stamp down, et voila! Then I just sparkled it all up, added some simple papers, a glittery ribbon and a few gems. I also tinkered about with the sentiment stamp. It's from the Papertrey Tiny Tags set but its obviously American and said 'Mom' so I took a little craft knife to it and chopped out the top of the o, so now it says Mum! Tee hee! Thanks for dropping by, I hope you have a great weekend!

New Sneak Peeks & a Blog Hop!!

Hi all, and welcome to the Crafter’s Companion Blog Hop to celebrate the release of the new Beatrix Potter CDs and stamps.
If you have landed here first then you are hopping in the right direction. If not then you need to pop over to the Crafter’s Companion News blog to begin.

Our DT have had a great time creating with the new range from Crafter’s Companion and to celebrate the launch of these stunning new collections on Tuesday 20th March as Pick of the Day on Ideal World, we have decided to give you a chance to see some Sneak Peeks and also have the chance of winning a fabulous Prize: All three new CDs and all three new stamps (worth £74.94)!

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this great prize is visit each blog in order and then go back to the Crafter’s Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog to leave your link.

Along the way you will notice that each Blog will give you a letter - make a note of these as they will make a phrase which we will ask you for if your number is drawn by Random.Org on the morning of Tuesday 20th March.

My letter is: T

From here, you need to hop to Gemma’s blog.

PLEASE DO NOT TELL US WHAT THE WORD IS ON THE CRAFTER’S COMPANION NEWS VIEWS AND INSPIRATION BLOG, WE WILL E-MAIL YOU FOR THE ANSWER IF YOUR ENTRY NUMBER IS DRAWN.

And now onto my Sneak Peek card;
As these new CDs are packed full of images for mens cards, I thought I would make a Fathers Day Card (even though the rest of the country is making Mothers Day cards and I've still got mine to do!!) The image, backing papers & insert are all from the CD, sentiment from the new stamp sets and the ribbon and gems are from the papercrafting kit - I love this twill ribbon!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with more!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #192!

Hello! I hope you've had a lovely week! Amazingly, I'm quite sad it's the weekend as we're both back to work on monday! :-( Still, we've had a good week off! And now it's time for another Penny Black Saturday challenge! This week is a nice, fun theme, The Young Ones! We'd like you to make a card for a child! This week we've got a $20 voucher to be one from the lovely people at 1-2-3 Stitch!

As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to use this new sentiment set (I can never resist a sentiment set!) as there's some really cute little images too, a balloon, a cupcake, candles, stars etc! So cute! And this was fairly quick to make too as I just paper pieced all the balloons! I used an old MFT Sketch as I want to try and complete all of them this year, I'm only one behind now! I hope you like it, thanks for looking! I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Paintbox Poppets Sneaky Peaks! Day 4!

Hello! Well today is the last Crafters Companion Paintbox Poppets sneaky peak day before the launch on Create & Craft tomorrow on the Pick of the Week show! So I thought I would show you a couple of cards, the first one is showing the fabulous Reddy die cut decoupage - I don't normally like this stuff as there's always white lines around if or geat big pips holding it all together but this stuff is fab! I hope I don't sound cheesy, but it's true! It's a nice weight of paper too so you don't feel like it's about to rip! And hopefully, you'll see that it still looks ok when some decoupage novice comes along and uses foam pads because she can't get the grips of silicone glue!! ;-)

And my second card is using another of the cute stamps - and this image and sentiment are exclusive to Create & Craft too! I decided to make a gatefold card - just because! And the papers are from the CD Rom.

To make this week that extra bit special, every comment left on any of the Design Teams sneaky peak posts will be entered into a draw to win a copy of the CD, not just one though, each DT blog will be giving one away! Winners will be announced on tomorrow morning at 10am! Everytime you leave a comment is one entry so if you comment everyday, that's 5 chances to win!

Thaks for dropping by! I hope you've enjoyed mine and the rest of the Design Teams sneaky peaks!

Paintbox Poppets Sneaky Peaks! Day 3!

Morning! I'm back again to show you another card for this weeks Crafters Companion Paintbox Poppets weeks of sneaky peaks before the CD Rom is launched this friday on Create & Craft! I wanted to show you that you can make ultra simple cards with this CD so I made this one! I'm not in any way, shape or form a dancer but I love ballerina images, I think it's the whole prancing around looking delicate and lovely that I like! So this image was right up my street! Printed onto some shimmery paper, a little glitter added and I'm done! The sentiment and backing paper are also from the CD and the card size is DL - not one I've made for a long time!

All this week, every comment left on any of our sneaky peak posts will be entered into a draw to win a copy of the Paintbox Poppets CD Rom, not just one though, each design team blog will be giving one away! Winners will be announced on Friday morning at 10am! Everytime you leave a comment is one entry so if you comment everyday, that's 5 chances to win! Good luck!
