Penny Black Saturday Challenge #186!

Morning! Here we are at Saturday again and there's a brand new Penny Black Saturday challenge again! This week, we're thinking slightly ahead to those lovely spring days, Floral Frenzy!

This week we are sponsored by our lovely regular sponsor, Fantastic Ribbon! If you win, you can choose any 4 rolls of ribbon from their website!

Here's my card! I absolutely love this stamp!! But this card has been a slow and steady process all week finishing up last night! I've not really had much chance to sit down and make a whole card so one night I chose which image & sketch, the next I chose the papers and coloured in and last night I put it all together - complete with actual machine stitching!! My machine and I don't get along when it's paper I'm sewing so it's a little wonky in places, all adds to the 'handmade' effect! I've used a bit of 'Artistic license' with the sunflower by making it pink but I thought it sort of looked like the flowers in the background paper! Oh and also this sentiment is an Elzybells one! Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!

Pretty green butterflies!

Hello! I hope you're all well! Here's a quick card I've made and I'm actually really pleased with it! These dies were part of what I spent my $20 Simon Says Stamp winnings on from the last Top Tip Tuesday challenge, (I also got the MFT star border and the MME Kraft pad - thanks guys!) so I thought it only right I should show them off on their new challenge, so this card is using their sketch. I'm loving negative die cutting at the moment - have I said that before?! ;-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Pippi Longsocks - so cute!!

Good morning! Just skidding in with another late entry! Trouble is, I make a few cards at the weekend for various challenges, but without posting them all in one day then nothing for the week, it means I have to sneak them in before a new challenge is posted! But anyway, I am super-duper organised here making my lovely niece's 3rd birthday card a whole 10 months in advance!! I just bought this stamp and couldn't wait to use it so I thought I'd just get ahead, I may end up using the card for someone else and making another but for now it's hers! :-) I quite enjoyed taking the time to colour her in, I think that's why I'm enjoying using die cuts too as it means I'm not colouring on every card so when I do, I really linger over it and have fun! Enough of my theor-ising (is that a word?!) have a lovely day and thanks for visiting!

Beau-Tea-ful day!

Hello and Happy Monday! I've quickly popped on to show you this card I made at the weekend, I think I'm going to give it to Jamie's mum for her birthday at the weekend but I'm not sure it's 'her' so I may make another one! I'm loving my die-cuts at the moment, especially these cute MFT ones! I made the sentiment on my pc then printed onto Safmat film. I stuck the film over the whole panel instead of just cutting around the sentiment as I thought it would show, I'm glad I did as it gives the pink panel a lovely sheen! I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Here's the challenges;

Stamp with Fun - Cute Vintage
Colour Create - Pink, Green & optional extra Handmade flowers
Daring Cardmakers - Kitchen-alia
Winter Wonderland - Easel card

Wedding Cake!

Hiya! I wanted to leave this post until the morning, mainly so I didn't have to use these awful photos! Haha! But I made it for the Shabby Tea Room challenge and it closes in about 5 hours so no time to wait! I sort of lost my way with the sketch, the text panel is now a cake and the Clean and Simple look has sort of gone! :-)  I used up a few more scraps from the scraps box though which is good!
I made it using these new Wedding cake stamps I just bought. I ordered them from Craft Superstore at lunchtime on Friday (for £1.99 - bargain!) and they were here Saturday lunchtime! I love it when that happens!I was out last night though so making a card with them had to wait til today. I've made a few other bits and bobs so I'll show them in the week, thanks for visiting!

I thought this looked a bit like the flowers on the cakes in the photo

Here's the challenges;

Papertake - Blooms & bling
Sparkles Challenge - New stash
The Secret Crafter - Food & Drink
Simply Create Too - Love is in the Air

Penny Black Saturday challenge #185!

Good morning all! It's the weekend - yey! - and time again for another Penny Black Saturday challenge! Thanks to all who took part in our Anything Goes theme - it was definitely popular! This weeks theme should be too - Crafty Bargains! Show us what you bought in the sales, with your gift tokens or some cheeky freebies! There's this beautiful stamp to be won from Crimson Cloud!

Here's my card - yep I'm back to Christmas cards again! Mainly because I nabbed this cute stamp in the sale at The Glitter Pot - half price! And the paper was half price too - woo hoo! When I was colouring the image, the blue was quite similar to the paper, but as I kept going, and when it dried, they're nothing like!! Oops! Never mind 'ey?! Thanks for looking, have a great weekend - I hope you can join in with us!

Here's the Challenge list;

Papertake - Bling, Bows, Blooms & Buttons (I've used Bling & Bows)
