Thanks a Latte!

Hello! I hope you're all having a lovely week, just today to push through and then the weekend! Woo hoo! Phew, first week back - done! Here's a fun little card I made this week using loads of lovely bits of stash! I was lucky enough to win a stamp set from the lovely Claire at Waltzingmouse before Christmas so I chose this funky background set which I used to make the checkerboard pattern. I've got some lovely background sets but alays head straight for my patterned papers, so here I decided to combine both! Then I made the fun sentiment using a combo of different stanps - I made the 'a' of the sentiment by using the Dad stamp from the set but masking off the D's!
I'm really happy with this card, I've realised that although I love the completely clean and simple look, it's much more of a struggle for me and this is what I feel happiest with, lots of clean lines but a few more layers! :-)
That's all from me, I hope you have a great weekend, thanks for popping by!

More Hexagons!

Hiya! I hope you're having a good week! I have, minus the hayfever! I've been making loads of cards recently - just not had time to blog many of them yet, hopefully soon. And I promise they're not all with hexagons! ;-) This card is for the funnest challenge I've seen! This weeks Papertrey Make it Monday challenge is called Roll the Die, all the details are here but basically you print out and fill in the sheet, then roll the dice to see what options come up and that's how you make your card! Here's my sheet, it's not very clear so I've written below what my choices were;

Orientation -
5 - Vertical
Layout -
3 - Sketch #3
Stamp Sets Image -
4 - Happy Hexagons
Stamp sets sentiment/supporting dies -
1 - Hexagon plate (phew!)
Colour scheme -
2 - Black, white & pink
Embellishments -
6 - Pearls

I'm so glad the Hexagon plate and stamps came up, I'm not sure I'd be good at spacing them without that! Although I've just read back and it doesn't say dies on the sheet! I thought Erin said it in her video but now I'm not so sure! Whoops!!
I thought the colours, layout and hexagons led to quite a funky, girlie card so I chose a bright pink and some stars, then added a bit of doodling. I use a mini square punch to make the banner end on the sentiment. I hope you like it!

One layer Thanks!

Hello! I hope you've had a nice weekend! It was weird yesterday to not be posting a Penny Black Saturday card! There's still a few more weeks to play along with that!
In the meantime I've been playing around with a few new stamp sets - not all successful! (There's one I seriously bodged up - I'm wondering whether to put it on here just for a laugh!) But this one turned out ok! I'm possibly the world clumsiest stamper so even this was a second attempt - be gentle! ;-) I hope you like it though - challenges and product links are below! Thanks for stopping in!

Golden Sunshine!

What? Where?! I've put some on my card! And it's trying to peep out from behind the clouds so hopefully it's worked! It's using another of my new Papertrey goodies. I knew I wanted to use this set for this weeks LIM 'Gold' challenge so when I saw the new CAS-ology blog had a theme of 'Sun' the card made itself! I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

Pennk Black Saturday Challenge #196!

Hello! I hope this finds you well! There's a brand new Penny Black Saturday challenge up and this week it's another CASE It challenge! This time it's Helens turn and she's chosen this beautiful card of hers;

This weeks lovely sponsors are Penny Black Inc with this stamp;

and The Ribbon Girl with this beautiful bundle of yellow ribbons and embellishments;

Here's my card, I loved Helens card so I didn't change too much but I left out the sanded embossing as I always manage to cover myself in dust and I was wearing my fave jeans! Haha! I'm such a girl!! So I used these lovely woodgrain and leaf Pink Petticoat papers. I also stamped a bit differently to Helen, I just inked up the areas in each colour and stamped down, it was easy as the inkpads are small. I also used my actual sewing machine! I love the effect but the hassle of getting it out alwyas puts me off, I've found a place for it now so hopefully I'll use it more! Thanks for looking, and Happy Easter!

Challenges;
Passion for Papertrey - Knock on Wood
Papertake - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Tool - easily my Cuttlebug for cutting out the little tag die, but also my sewing machine.
Cupcake Craft - Sewing Bow - thread & button.

Papertrey Christmas Tags!

Hello! What a hideous day we're having! Hopefully all the people in the north reading this are tucked up snug indoors!
I'm here to share a little christmas card I've made - another one! It's using the cute little Tiny Tags set from Papertrey, I thought I would use lots of the different shapes with it. I haven't linked to all of the words as they're from 6 different stamps set and I thought it would be a bit tedious making a note of them! If you're curious to know about one, just let me know in the comments and I'll find out for you. Also, I'm not sure where the glitter paper was from, Create & Craft maybe...?
I might be back tomorrow with a card, if not I'll be back at the weekend, bye for now! xx
Here's the challenge list:
Passion for Papertrey - Red & White Christmas
Paper Sundaes - Sundae Bar (I've used red & die cuts)
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Bingo (bottom line - Punch, tags & Ribbon)
Papertake - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
