Cozy Mittens!

Hi! I'm back yet again with another Christmas make! I love these papers but I wasn't sure I had a lot to go with them, that all changed with this mittens die! I love them! The rest of the card speaks for itself really! Thanks for popping in!

Happy Halloween

Hiya! I hope you've all had a good week! I had the looongest day yesterday but now I'm off for 3 days! Woo hoo! I started off today by making this little Halloween card for the plethora of challenges out there - I couldn't miss out! ;-) The papers were freebies by the way! I've put a link at the bottom. So here it is, I hope you like it! Hopefully I'll be back over the weekend with some other crafty bits! Thanks for looking!

Hello again!

Hi again! So sorry to anyone who likes reading this blog for the lack of posts, I'm just finding crafting a bit of a struggle for some reason. I'm glad there's the SFYTT sketches dragging me into my craft room every month! Sorry too to my fellow DT members for being absent for a while, I'm hoping to make a few bits this week and see if it kickstarts my mojo - not holding my breath though!
Enough babbling, here's the card I've made for this months sketch using some Papertrey loveliness, I hope you like it and thanks for visiting me!

I'm back!

Hiya! Well that was a slightly longer gap between posts than I planned! Thanks if you've come back to visit me! I've had a really busy few weeks going to see Olympic events and celebrating the big 3-0!! Then we had 2 weeks off which has left me with no crafty mojo at all! I thought I'd drag myself out of it though and make a card for this months I {heart} 2 Stamp - SFYTT as I've managed to keep up with every month this year so far and didn't want to ruin it, so here I am. I thought I'd do what I've done before when I've had no mojo and dig out some of my favourite stash and just play, and here is the result! I hope you like it! I'll take a better picture in the morning, now I'm going to crack on with my Penny Black Saturday card, I'm guessing it'll be late!

Christmas Tag card & Part 1 of 2 Bodge Ups!

Hello! Yey it's friday!! We're off to my sister in laws for the night to see my little nieces and in-laws. We're getting an indian takeaway and lots of wine so should be fun! I'm back with a quick post for a not so quick card - ages of shuffling things around! But it's done, I hope you like it!

And now for Part 1 of 2 bodges ups! I've said before I'm pretty clumsy when it comes to...well...most things! ;-) So I thought I'd show some attempts at cards I've done. This one I was so pleased with right up until the end. I've never used Mica powders before but I won some a few years ago and since taking the Online Card class I dug them back out. I thought I'd join in with the LIM challenge with these butterflies, it looked all lovely until I sprayed a fixative - in big splodges!! Arrgghh! It totally blurred all the detail on the butterflies and put weird speckly blobs all over the card! :-( Oh well, I sort of still like it so I'm going to enter it anyway and hope I'm not thrown out! ;-)
Have a great weekend, I'll add the supply details when I'm back tomorrow.

Penny Black Saturday #208!

Afternoon all! I hope you're enjoying your saturday so far! I'm back again with this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge! There's lots of exciting news going on over there this week so do pop over and have a little read. The theme though is Hot Metal, so any kind of metal will do, charms, brads, etc.
I've gone for silver brads and a little guitar sort of charm thing I've had in my stash for-ever! I used this cute music themed backing paper, the music note circle is acually the back of the guitar paper so I cut out the circle, flipped it over and nestled it back in the space! Then I added the image on another circle as I thought it looked a bit like a record -
kinda! ;-)
I hope you like it and can join in with us this week. We've got a brand new sponsor, J&C Creations who are giving away a £10 voucher to one lucky winner! Have a great weekend!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #202!

Afternoon all! Happy Saturday! That means there's a brand new challenge over on the Penny Black Saturday blog! This weeks theme is to Recycle, this could mean anything from using bits of packaging or string to those little ribbon loops on tops the poke out all the time - so annoying! There's a lovely prize this week, a yummy bundle of gems, pearls, flowers & ribbon, all from the ladies on the Penny Black Saturday team! I've made a super-duper simple card this week, it's all my little head could cope with! I've used the backing card from the packaging of an embossing folder.
I saved it before I knew what this weeks challenge was! I've also Upcycled some white ribbon by colouring it with the pens I used on the image - double whammy! Thanks for dropping by, I'll be back on Monday unless by some miracle I can squeeze in another challenge card! Have a great weekend!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #199!

Hmm, slightly misleading title as it's no longer Saturday, but here's my card for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge. This weeks theme is May Day! We'd love to see your Spring style cards! We are sponsored once again by the lovely people at Fantastic Ribbons! There's 4 rolls of spankly ribbon to be won!
I had a lack of mojo when I was trying to make my card - nothing was happening! Hence my lateness! So I sat down today, got out some of my favourite and treasured papers, my sewing machine and some lovely dies and came up with this! Not specifically spring like I suppose but it's better than nothing! ;-) I hope you like it!

How cute is this little button die?!

New Home!

Morning! I hope you're all well! Today is a little bit exciting as my brother (also called Jamie) is finally moving out of home! He's 27 and we thought he should have gone ages ago but money is a factor and when it's either going to festivals, gigs and holidays or save some cash, the former wins every time! Bless him! But now he's met a lovely girl, Emma, and they're moving into a rented flat today! My mum is going to miss him loads but he's only 2 mins drive away and she won't miss his messy room! We're going to help them in a bit but first I had to make their card! I decided on this cute Pink Petticoat image and some bright but neutral colours. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

White on White Christmas!

Hello again! If you want to see this mornings card for the Truly Scrumptious challenge, it'shere. Wow, 2 posts in one day, I'm not sure that happens on here very often! But I really wanted to enter this into the February Sketch for you to Try and there's mere hours left! I've used this stunning new die I bought at the Make It show, I was at the Oyster Stamps stall (first one, right by the door and where I blew half my budget within 10 minutes of getting there!) and this was right by the till - I almost missed it! I can definitely see I'll be using it lots for this years Christmas cards. I made all the sparkle by inking the die cut directly with my Versamark ink, covering it in sparkly embossing powder then heat setting it - burning it in the process, grrr! I hope all the sparkle shows up, there's a little border round the edge and the snowflakes are glittered too. I hope you like it anyways! Thanks for looking!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #72!

Hello! And welcome again to another Truly Scrumptious challenge! I can't believe we're up to challenge 72!?! This week was Bente's turn to choose a challenge and she's opted for Something Forgotten, dust off the boxes of craft stash at the back of your cupboards and see what's been left there!
We're sponsored by Whiff of Joy for this fortnights challenge and the winner will be able to choose a stamp!

Here's my card! I thought in honour of our sponsor this week, I would dig out a Whiff of Joy stamp, I've got so many lovely ones but, like everyone else I'm sure, older get buried beneath all the new, shiny ones! I'm glad I've brought this back to the surface though as it's a really handy one, although in this card I didn't want to colour the bottle green so now it looks like a bottle of ale chilling!! Whoops! I've glittered the bubbles and ice bucket plaque and added some glossy stuff to the ice cubes, not sure it shows! Thanks for looking, I hope you can join in with us!

And here's the other challenges this is for:
