Truly Scrumptious Challenge #73!

Good evening all! Sorry this is a bit late, work is soooo busy and I've a few other things bubbling away which I can't show just yet ;-)
But there's a brand new Truly Scrumptious challenge and it was my turn to choose the theme, predictably I went for Love & Hearts, I thought it wouldn't limit people to just valentines day, maybe a wedding or anniversary.

Every entry will be in the running for a $20 voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp!

Here's my card, I got it into my head that I wanted to use the postage element idea on this weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge, I'm not sure it goes and I lost my way a bit about what I was doing! Hopefully you'll still like it! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

Pippi Longsocks - so cute!!

Good morning! Just skidding in with another late entry! Trouble is, I make a few cards at the weekend for various challenges, but without posting them all in one day then nothing for the week, it means I have to sneak them in before a new challenge is posted! But anyway, I am super-duper organised here making my lovely niece's 3rd birthday card a whole 10 months in advance!! I just bought this stamp and couldn't wait to use it so I thought I'd just get ahead, I may end up using the card for someone else and making another but for now it's hers! :-) I quite enjoyed taking the time to colour her in, I think that's why I'm enjoying using die cuts too as it means I'm not colouring on every card so when I do, I really linger over it and have fun! Enough of my theor-ising (is that a word?!) have a lovely day and thanks for visiting!

Little birdie!

Good morning! Urghh, monday's out the way, the less said about that the better - I'll just get straight to my card! I haven't joined in with a Sugar Bowl challenge for ages, and I'm not really sure why! But then this fortnights challenge was Clean & Simple so I thought I'd have a go! I'm quite pleased with it except stamps don't seem to like linen texture card so I had to redraw (a bit shakily) over the bird cage! But on the good side, my friend thought I had drawn it from scratch - so that's not too bad! :-)
Here's the challenges it's for-

The Sugar Bowl #1!

OK, I'm sure everyone has seen the Sugar Bowl challenge by now and I'm glad it's fortnightly or else I'd be too late! The first challenge is a sketch by Tiets and I love it! I've used one of the new Leanne Ellis designs from my brother for Christmas, she's so cute and easy to colour! I've gone super-girly with this card! For the third layer of the sketch, I wanted something see through, I racked my brains for ages (I started this card on Friday night!) and decided on a square of gems. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Stamps - 'Luvvie' from Sugar Nellie coloured with Whispers, Copics and white gel pen, with doodled edges
Glitter card & gems - Create & Craft
Papers - Dovecraft 'Hint of Pink'
