Snowman gift tag

Hello and happy weekend! I hope you've had a good week! I found a bit of time this morning to make this simple little gift tag using this weeks MFT Sketch. All the dies are Die-namics. As I had stamped the snowman's eyes, mouth and buttons, I wanted to stamp his carrot nose but didn't have anything suitable, so I cut out the carrot die from some scrap paper and sponged it on - problem solved! :-) I've used this weeks Fab Friday colour scheme, this weeks Simon Says Stamp Christmas challenge and also this fortnights Card Concept challenge of Snowman and/or a Tag. Chalkboard Christmas cards

Hi! Back with another pair of Christmas cards, this time with a bit of a chalkboard look.

They're pretty similar and are both for this weeks Colour Me... challenge which is Real Red and a neutral, and also Just Us Girls chalkboard theme but following different sketches. This first one is using this weeks My Favourite Things sketch. The sentiment is stamped in Sparkling Snow embossing powder but for the life of me I couldn't get the glitter to show in the picture!

Then this second one is using this weeks Fusion sketch. The background was sponged with white ink, as were all the edges. I hope you like then, thanks for looking!

Snowflake card

Hi! Me again! I'm here with a Christmas card today to add to my woefully small stash of them, best get cracking! I've used some gorgeous glittery paper and gems from the Winter Woodland collection available at Buttons for Brains. I almost didn't use this paper as I like it so much - only a sentence that would make sense to a crafter! ;-)
I've used the new MFT sketch along with this weeks Merry Monday challenge of Spots and/or stripes, and also the current AAA Cards supply list challenge of vellum, glitter, a stamp, a holiday and kraft. I stamped these gorgeous MFT snowflakes onto vellum with glittery powder to give them a floaty look, it's hard to photo but really pretty in real life. I also used the same embossing powder for the sentiment and the spotty vellum panel under it. I hope you like it, thanks for looking :-)

Birthday present card

Hello! I hope you're Sunday is a good one :-) I'm back to share this bright and colourful card. I really wanted to have a good ol' play with some patterned papers so I picked a paper stack and a sketch and made this! The sketch is this weeks My Favourite Things one and I used the presents from the Sweet Birthday Wishes MFT stamp set to do some paper piecing. I added a vellum layer to help simplify things as the papers are pretty busy. I'm also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Tags, AAA Cards theme of Fussy Cutting, and the current Seize the Birthday, the no toppings Anything Goes theme! Happy Birthday Dad!

Hi! It's not actually his birthday til the beginning of June but I'll have a newborn by then and I'm not really sure how much downtime (if any) I'll get! I've made a shaker card using this weeks My Favourite Things sketch. I'm also going to enter into this weeks Seize the Birthday Anything Goes challenge and the 3 little circle/letter elements on the sketch count towards the Three Thirds theme on CAS-ual Fridays too. I thought these little letters would look fab in cork in the circle elements. I used the Scattered Stars die to make all the little stars for the shaker window, not too sparkly for a male card :-) Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes!

Mothers Day card

Hiya! I hope you're enjoying the weekend so far. I'm back with a card I've made for Jamie's mum, using this weeks MFT Sketch. She retired just over a year ago and has recently been learning to sew. The new Carta Bella pad is perfect for cards for her so I made a full-on sewing themed card! The stitched sentiment is one I made on the PC, printed out and pierced holes through to the pink paper, then just sewed through them - easy peasy! I didn't actually end up using any MFT goodies on the front of my card, just a couple of dies on the inside. This is also for this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Buttons. Let's Dance!

Hi again! I love having loads of time to craft! I've just got a cold though so I hope it doesn't slow me down as I have all day to myself! Here's another little card I've made this weekend using the same paper pad as yesterday as it was still out on my desk. I paper pieced the back panel, his suit and her dress with papers from the background then gave him a sparkly bow-tie to match the little heart in the corner. I used this doily punch but covered most of the lace up, it looks really different so I'm quite happy with that! I also used a little circle punch for the inverted corners and a square punch for the sentiment banner tails. Thanks for stopping in, I hope you enjoyed the extra hour in bed this morning (in the UK that is)!

Hello again! I'm back today with a Christmas card I made on sunday night when I couldn't sleep, no big surprise as I dozed all day!! I'm getting really rubbish photos at the moment, not sure why, I think I need some daylight lamps, can anyone suggest any good ones? You'd think we'd have some decent natural light in July - nope!! Anyway, not sure it shows but I've put the 3 baubles on 1, 2 and 3mm foam pads to give them different heights. Penny Black Saturday Challenge #201!

Good morning! Well what is this?! A sunny weekend?! Surely not! We're off for a BBQ and saying those words will probably change everything, sorry if so!
