Penny Black Saturday March Challenge!

Good morning! Wowzers, its Saturday! I'm not complaining about the last week in February disappearing but how is it March already?! Spring is on the way, my fingers are defrosting and I can almost feel it! ;-)
Anywho, it's time for another Penny Black Saturday challenge, this months theme is Spring into Spring! We have the usual lovely sponsors; The Ribbon Girl, J&C Creations and 1-2-3 Stitch to tempt you!
And here is my card, complete with the usual drunk looking stitching! It's all part of the handmade charm though, right?! I shifted the sentiment banner on the sketch as it covered up lots of the image and left it looking like the papers were taking over! I hope you like it though, thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a fab weekend!

Penny Black Saturday February challenge!

Hello! Happy weekend! I'm back again with a card for this months Penny Black Saturday challenge! How is it February already?! Although today it feels like March, very sunny and spring like - god I sound old!! ;-)
This months theme is Love & Marriage, so maybe valentines, maybe an anniversary, maybe just a love note - which brings me nicely onto my card! I used this cute little mouse stamp with some patterned note paper, a note edge punch and these cute sentiments by Kristina Werner - love them! The backing paper is pretty busy so I kept the embellishments down. I hope you like it and can join in with us this month. There's more inspiration from the fab design team over on the blog and details of all the amazing prizes you can win too! Have a great weekend, I hoping to get a few more cards made, I hope you do too! See ya!

Penny Black Saturday - January Challenge!

Hiya! Happy New Year to all my lovely blog readers! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. I've been to New York! Hee hee! It was Ah-Mazing!! Slightly marred by both of us being ill but we'll brush over that! I even got time to go to a little craft shop called the Ink Pad. The only paper crafting and stamping shop in NYC apparently, I find that quite odd but there you go! :-) It was crammed full of lovely things, I could have easily spent a couple of hours (and quite a few dollars) in there but I managed to get a few little bits while Jamie hung around waiting for me!

Any-hoo, the reason for this (slightly late) post is there's a new Penny Black Saturday challenge! This one is very appropriate considering I'm back to work tomorrow, January Blues! Yep, we'd like to see mostly blue tones on your cards & projects. We've got vouchers to be won from The Ribbon Girl, J&C Creations and 1-2-3 Stitch!

Here's my card, I thought it was a perfect challenge for a baby boy card (shame it wasn't January Pinks as my cousin had a little girl on new years eve! I'll get cracking on another one for her!) I broke out the Papertrey Hexagons again. I've not used them without the in between bits before but as this card is bigger than the cover plate, I just laid it over and popped the pieces in before removing it and moving it across the card, I love the effect! Sort of like a little baby's blanket! Right, I've rambled on quite enough for one day so here's the card, thanks for looking!

Penny Black Saturday December Challenge!

It's December!! Woo hoo!! I love Christmas and especially the build up but how is it nearly here already?! :-)
Being the first Saturday of the month also means theres a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge! Hopefully it'll help you out if you've any festive cards to make, but should be easy to adapt if you're all done; Glitter & Sparkle! I nice easy theme but a b****r to photograph, sorry about that!!
As usual there's some fabulous prizes from some equally fab places, Penny Black Inc, The Ribbon Girl, 1-2-3 Stitch & J&C Creations, phew!
Here's my card, and yep, the glitter is hardly showing! I stamped the penguin image twice and made a mask to just leave the snowman and the snow floor, then squidged my VersaMark pad all over and glitter embossed. I sort of did the same with the snowflake embossed background, only swiped it over so it only really embossed the snowflakes, if that makes sense?! I hope you like it and have a lovely weekend! Thanks for looking!

Challenges;
Crazy 4 Challenges - Snowmen
Cute Card Thursday - Snowflakes
Play Date Cafe - Black & White and a splash of red (sorry, I had a add a teeny splash of carrot orange too! ;-) )

Penny Black Saturday November Challenge!

Hello! Sorry this is a few days late, I made my card ahead of time, took the photos etc and then we went away to Sheffield to stay with Jamie's Dad and family. I forgot to upload everything so I just brought my camera with me thinking I could finish my post from there but they didn't have a lead that matched my camera or an SD slot on their PC, bummer! So I could write the main post just not put my piccy in it! (I also had a couple of other cards ready for challenges which have now finished :-( booo!)
But anyway, better late than never! This weeks Penny Black Saturday theme is Cute Christmas! So easy with all of the abundent cuteness from Penny Black ! :-) I hope you can join us this month, there's loads of prizes up for grabs. Thanks for visiting!

Penny Black Saturday July & a blog hop!

Morning lovely people! It's time once again for a Penny Black Saturday challenge! The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed the lack of week number on the title of this post, and it's change to a month! That's because from this weekend we are now a monthly challenge! We'll have a new challenge on the first Saturday of every month so there's even longer to join in!
To celebrate we've had a little bit of a makeover and we're kicking things off with a Blog Hop! We've loads of prizes to be won this month and a few Guest Designers joining in the fun! So, hop on the Penny Black bus!

If you've just hopped here from our fabulous guest Andrea's blog then you're heading in the right direction, if not you need to go back to the Penny Black Saturday blog to start at the beginning and make sure you don't miss out on any goodies hidden on the DT Blogs!
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning a prize is hop along our bus route and leave a comment at every stop! And here is my prize;

A £10 voucher to spend at one of my fave shops - no link to Penny Blacks or personal gain for me, just the shop I tend to look to first for crafty stash! Just leave me a little comment and I'll pop you in the draw!
This competition closes on Thursday 2nd August at 8pm GMT. Good luck!
From here you need to head on over to the lovely Debby's blog!

I suppose you'd like to see a card challenge somewhere here! This weeks theme is Summertime! No, seriously, it is. Let's hope we can coax the sun out from behind the clouds!

Here's my card, and please excuse the truly awful photo - I took it on my phone when my camera had run out of juice and there was hardly any light - brilliant combination! I'll take a better one when I'm home from work today (I'm doing a bridal party's hair this morning - poor things, I hope they won't look like drowned rats by this evening!)
 **Edited with a better picture**
And that's enough from me! Enjoy the hop and have a great weekend!

Penny Black Saturday #208!

Afternoon all! I hope you're enjoying your saturday so far! I'm back again with this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge! There's lots of exciting news going on over there this week so do pop over and have a little read. The theme though is Hot Metal, so any kind of metal will do, charms, brads, etc.
I've gone for silver brads and a little guitar sort of charm thing I've had in my stash for-ever! I used this cute music themed backing paper, the music note circle is acually the back of the guitar paper so I cut out the circle, flipped it over and nestled it back in the space! Then I added the image on another circle as I thought it looked a bit like a record -
kinda! ;-)
I hope you like it and can join in with us this week. We've got a brand new sponsor, J&C Creations who are giving away a £10 voucher to one lucky winner! Have a great weekend!

Challenges;
I {heart} 2 Stamp - This sketch -->
CAS-ual Fridays - 2 Circles

A very late PBSC and a Festive Blog Hop!

**Scroll down this post to find the Crafters Companion blog hop!**

Good morning! I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was manic and I didn't get anytime at all to post my card for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge! The theme this week is Fly the Flags! We'd like to see banners, bunting, flags etc! I went for a bit of a one layer card this week and stamped out my bunting straight above the image, I have to say though, I'm such a messy stamper this is my second attempt! I had some on my little finger and couldn;t work out where all the pink smudges were coming from! Hee hee! :-) I'm pleased with how it eventually came out though!
The prize this week is 2 fab Penny Black stamps! I hope you can join us!

Challenges;
CAS-ual Fridays - Pretty in Pink
Oldie but a Goodie - Banners or Bunting (main PB stamp is over 6 months old)
Supplies;

And now for something a little bit Christmassy!
I'll leave Meg to fill you in on the details! ;-)

"As many of you know, Christmas starts in June for many papercrafters, so Crafter's Companion are starting to feel a little festive, launching the first of a new range, with artwork designed by artist Ian Hallows. The ‘Christmas in Mulberry Wood’ range (including six stamps, co-ordinating CD-ROM and two papercrafting collections by Hunkydory) will be Pick of the Week on Create & Craft from Midday on Friday!

To celebrate the launch, Crafter's Companion have organised a Blog Hop around some of the Design Team's blogs!

If you have landed here from Louise's blog then you are hopping in the right direction.

If not then you need to pop over to the Crafter’s Companion News blog to begin.

Everyone on the Design Team had so much fun creating with this new range from Crafter’s Companion and to celebrate the launch of these stunning new collections on Friday 29th June you have the chance to win the brand new 'Christmas in Mulberry Wood' CD-ROM.
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this great prize is visit each blog in order and then go back to the Crafter’s Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog to leave a comment about the range and the sneak peeks you’ve seen. On Friday June 29th, Crafter's Companion will pick two comments at random, to win the prize.

From here, you need to hop to Pam’s blog."

So there you go! Here is my sneaky peek for today, it's using the gorgeous Owls stamp! So cute! The sentiment accompanies it and the papers are from the CD.

I hope you have fun popping about our blogs, the samples are gorgeous and these stamps are seriously so cute, I love them! I hope you can come back during the week and see my other cards! Good luck!
