Ladybug Tower!

Hi! The other day I had a little root around my stash and dug out some bits and pieces I wanted to use or use up, there was a couple of neglected stamp sets (one was the Lawn Fawn one from yesterday's card) then a few die cuts or stamped images that I'd made but never used. Including this cute Pink Cat Studio digi stamp I coloured in ages ago - by ages I literally mean about 4-5 years!! So I've put it to use in this card for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, another entry for the Seize the Birthday & Simon Says Stamp, both of which are Anything Goes. I think I'm going to do this more often, having them out on the desk really makes me think about how I'm going to use them rather than making a card with nothing in mind or just to suit a challenge. Anywho, thanks for looking! I might be back later with more :-)

Papers - Doodlebug 'Take Note' & 'Kraft in Colour - Colour'

Thanks a Latte!

Hello! I hope you're all having a lovely week, just today to push through and then the weekend! Woo hoo! Phew, first week back - done! Here's a fun little card I made this week using loads of lovely bits of stash! I was lucky enough to win a stamp set from the lovely Claire at Waltzingmouse before Christmas so I chose this funky background set which I used to make the checkerboard pattern. I've got some lovely background sets but alays head straight for my patterned papers, so here I decided to combine both! Then I made the fun sentiment using a combo of different stanps - I made the 'a' of the sentiment by using the Dad stamp from the set but masking off the D's!
I'm really happy with this card, I've realised that although I love the completely clean and simple look, it's much more of a struggle for me and this is what I feel happiest with, lots of clean lines but a few more layers! :-)
That's all from me, I hope you have a great weekend, thanks for popping by!

Penny Black Saturday - January Challenge!

Hiya! Happy New Year to all my lovely blog readers! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. I've been to New York! Hee hee! It was Ah-Mazing!! Slightly marred by both of us being ill but we'll brush over that! I even got time to go to a little craft shop called the Ink Pad. The only paper crafting and stamping shop in NYC apparently, I find that quite odd but there you go! :-) It was crammed full of lovely things, I could have easily spent a couple of hours (and quite a few dollars) in there but I managed to get a few little bits while Jamie hung around waiting for me!

Any-hoo, the reason for this (slightly late) post is there's a new Penny Black Saturday challenge! This one is very appropriate considering I'm back to work tomorrow, January Blues! Yep, we'd like to see mostly blue tones on your cards & projects. We've got vouchers to be won from The Ribbon Girl, J&C Creations and 1-2-3 Stitch!

Here's my card, I thought it was a perfect challenge for a baby boy card (shame it wasn't January Pinks as my cousin had a little girl on new years eve! I'll get cracking on another one for her!) I broke out the Papertrey Hexagons again. I've not used them without the in between bits before but as this card is bigger than the cover plate, I just laid it over and popped the pieces in before removing it and moving it across the card, I love the effect! Sort of like a little baby's blanket! Right, I've rambled on quite enough for one day so here's the card, thanks for looking!

Good morning! Yup, Saturday is here again and it's time for another Penny Black Saturday! Thanks so much for all who entered out Love & Kisses challenge, even though I didn't - sorry again about that! This weeks theme is nice and simple, Pearls & Lace! This always makes me think of weddings (maybe as it was sort of my theme!) so that's what I went with.
This weeks prize is another from our very generous and lovely ex-teamie Carole (who has just crochet-ed(?) the best bag!) she has donated this lovely stamp for one lucky winner!

And here is my card, at first I tried to make it to the dimentions of the sketch but soon ran out of room so I stretched out a bit!
Have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing, thanks for dropping by!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #180!

Afternoon all! I hope you've had a nice Saturday! I've spent most of it moaping and sneezing feeling sorry for myself! Haha! Hence the lateness of this post! It's for another Penny Black Saturday challenge, this week the theme is Total White Out! Everything apart from your image should be white (ish!)
This week there are our 2 regular sponsors giving away the prizes, Penny Black Inc with the cutest stamp - I've not seen it before and wish I could enter for this one! And The Ribbon Girl with some beautiful Cotton & Cluny Lace.
Here's my (very sparkly but doesn't show) card! I'm not getting on too well with the new light box, I think my lights are too dim, but anyhoo, I hope you like it!

Here's the challenges I'm entering this into:

The Shabby Tea Room - white, neutral, silver & glitter

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #55!

Good morning! I hope you're all well and enjoying the beautiful weather! I'm back with another Truly Scrumptious challenge, this week it's a theme - Vintage. I thought it was a good excuse to use my new Crackle Accents. Originally I used on of the PaperMania chair stamps with Distress Inks but it bled out and looks like a splodge! So I tinkered about with this photo, distressed the background and added the glaze, and I'm quite chuffed!
It's also for these challenges:
Mojo Monday - this sketch (which I've flipped)
Papertake - Truly Dimensional
Crazy 4 Challenges - Green, brown & vanilla.
Thanks for looking!

Colouring - Ranger 'Crackle Accents' & 'Old Paper' Distress Ink
Papers - PaperMania 'Regency'

Mojo Monday #150 & Simon Says: Sing it Baby!

Hiya! Just a quick post to show a card I've actually made just for challenges and not for my Design Teams, I made this yesterday while it was pouring down! It's for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch (just made it in time, the contest closes in a few hours!) and it's also for the Simon Says Stamp challenge, Sing it Baby! My song choice is obviously Let it Snow! I love this pretty stamp and bought it last year and this is the first time it's seen ink! I love it on the Kraft card too (actually, I seem to love anything with Kraft card!) And that's about it really!
It's my mums birthday today so we're going out for some grub tonight - yum scrum! I hope you're having a nice Sunday!

Mojo Monday #139 & ABC Challenge 'U'!

Hi guys! Woo hoo! The sun is shining and I don't have to work today! So I thought I'd make a little card with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, I love their funky sketches. Then I saw the challenge over on ABC Challenge was for 'Unused Stash' so I dug out this Sizzix pad and this VW Campervan stamp that haven't seen the light of day for ages, and made this! I hope you like it!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'VW Campervan' by Little Claire Designs

Colouring - Copics & Sakura Stardust
Papers - Sizzix
Flower - EK Success 'Retro flower' punch
Button & cord - stash
Sentiment - Elzybells
Gems - Anita's
Labels 1 Nestabilities

I also thought I'd join in with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! It's actually my dining room table and I have to pack everything away most evenings into the two crates you can see, which is why it's quite tidy! I'd love if this was always my workdesk as I can see the telly and when Jamie's home, I can still make cards and not feel bad that I'm shut away in another room, although when we move I'll hopefully have my own little craft room! On my workdesk is the workings of the card above. Thanks for looking!
