Hiya! Happy New Year to all my lovely blog readers! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. I've been to New York! Hee hee! It was Ah-Mazing!! Slightly marred by both of us being ill but we'll brush over that! I even got time to go to a little craft shop called the
Ink Pad. The only paper crafting and stamping shop in NYC apparently, I find that quite odd but there you go! :-) It was crammed full of lovely things, I could have easily spent a couple of hours (and quite a few dollars) in there but I managed to get a few little bits while Jamie hung around waiting for me!
Any-hoo, the reason for this (slightly late) post is there's a new
Penny Black Saturday challenge! This one is very appropriate considering I
'm back to work tomorrow,
January Blues!
Yep, we'd like to see mostly blue tones on your cards & projects. We've got vouchers to be won from
The Ribbon Girl,
J&C Creations and
1-2-3 Stitch!
Here's my card, I thought it was a perfect challenge for a baby boy card (shame it wasn't January Pinks as my cousin had a little girl on new years eve! I'll get cracking on another one for her!) I broke out the Papertrey Hexagons again. I've not used them without the in between bits before but as this card is bigger than the cover plate, I just laid it over and popped the pieces in before removing it and moving it across the card, I love the effect! Sort of like a little baby's blanket! Right, I've rambled on quite enough for one day so here's the card, thanks for looking!
