Good morning! I've dragged myself out of bed to write this post - it's been a looong week not helped by the stinking cold I've had for most of it, so I'm glad it's finally the weekend! It's time again for Penny Black Saturday, and we know how much you love a good sketch so Pauline has whipped up this fab one! Plus there is a 15% lifetime discount voucher from PB Stamps to be won!!
Here's my card using some new papers I've bought recently, I always seem to be scared to use my papers and keep printing off digi ones as I know they can't run out. But enough is enough, time to make some space! The ribbon is actually quite a good match to the pink in the papers but it doesn't look like that in the photo, just so you know!
This is also for these challenges -
Simon Says Stamp - Animal Antics
Totally Gorjuss - As YOU like it!
PaperPlay - Layer it up!
Have a great weekend!
Supplies-

Papers - 'Pixie-licious' by Cosmo Cricket
Gems - PaperMania
Ribbon - stash
Flowers - Woodware & EK Success punches
Swirls - Quickutz 'Flourishes' die

Penny Black Saturday #135!
Good morning all! I hope you've had a great week! I thought this week was dragging but now it's the weekend again, it feels like it's flown by! It's Saturday which means time again for another Penny Black Saturday Challenge! This week we'd like to see you January Sales bargains! Or if, like me, you didn't snab any, just show us your most recent stash! This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Fantastic Ribbons with 4 beautiful rolls of ribbons up for grabs!
Here's my card - I saw tutorial by Paula Pascual in Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine and had to try it! I've been looking at everyone's Distress Ink water colouring tutorials and fancied a go, then when I saw the backgrounds that could be made, I decided to get myself a few! (And they were on eBay so actually quite a bargain after all!) She used a beautiful Hero Arts stamp (which I bought too!) so I adapted it to use for this challenge. I stamped and embossed in white then swirled around with the blending tool and a few inks (colours below), and added a few glitter highlights. I thought it only fair to use one of Paula's sentiment stamps! The shape it's stamped onto is also a newbie, it's a Kars punch with 4 different label shapes. The shapes are all a bit smaller than I thought but I love this one anyway! I made 2 copies of this image in case one went wrong which meant there were a few leftover bits so I made another card, I'll save that for another day. I have to say, I'm pretty chuffed! Although don't look too closely - you may see some inky finger splodges!
This card is also for this weeks Spoonful of Sugar which is Blue & Green and Top Tip Tuesday which is to use a Sentiment.
Cripes, I've rambled a bit - thanks for looking!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #49!
Good morning! I hope you're all having a lovely week! Mine's ok, busy! Bath was beautiful, definitely somewhere I'll revisit! But I'm back today with another Truly Scrumptious challenge, but where's the sketch?! We've decided to shake things up a little and only have the sketches every other challenges and normal challenges on the middle weeks. So this challenge is to use Pink, Brown and Green, perhaps using the photo for some inspiration.
Pink Gem are sponsoring us this time with some gorgeous Baby Girl digi papers to be won.
Here's my card, I decided to make it fairly simple with all the colours and flavours going on! I've had this stamp since it came out (because I needed it!) and it's never seen ink until now!!
As you might imagine, I've combined this with a couple of other challenges, this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch with the extra of Dry Embossing (the first time I've been able to join in since I left! Hi ladies!!). This weeks Simon Says Stamp which is a fun Bingo game! I've picked the line with Gems, Glitter and Ribbon, the Ribbon Girl is to use Pink & Green and finally Winter Wonderland which is Paws for thought!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm made a very premature Easter card using one of the 12 Days of Christmas stamps and some funky Cosmo Cricket papers! I've feasted on Patterned Paper, Twine, 3 Gems and 3 buttons, *burp* hee hee! ;-)
My card is also using this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch, the Oldie but a Goodie challenge which is Bright & Cheerful, Stamp Something is Anything Goes, and PaperPlay is Cutie Patootie!

Clean & Simple sketch #122 & something different!
Afternoon! I've just popped on to make a quick post for these cards I've made, the first is this simple men's card using this weeks Clean & Simple sketch, a great one for using up little scraps. It's also for this weeks Winter Wonderland which is Dotty (and not Christmas for now!) and also for this weeks Top Tip Tuesday which is Anything Goes.
Supplies-
Papers - 'He's a Jolly Good Fellow' from Sweet Shoppe
Sentiment - Paula Pascual
Stars - Dovecraft & Woodware punches
Border - EK Success punch
******************************************************************************
And this is the extra card. It's a bit of a different one but before Christmas, one of my mum's colleagues asked me to make a Christmas card for her to put on her dads grave, she asked for it to feature a wolf and a rose, I'm not too sure why! But I forgot to photo it, anyway, she was really pleased and has asked me to make one for his birthday too, this time to feature black roses if possible, so here it is! I found the image on Google and the paper is a digi one I've got somewhere which I printed in black and white. Thanks for stopping by!

Penny Black Saturday #133!
Afternoon all! I hope you've all had a good week and are now enjoying the weekend! The reason this post is so late is because I'm having a lazy day and only woke up at 12!! Slovenly! But this is a post for the first Penny Black Saturday of 2011! It's quite a popular one but the challenge is 'New Beginnings', babies, houses etc. I've been asked to make a Retirement card so I though this would count as a new beginning, a new lease of freedom! There's 3 gorgeous prizes to be won this week so lots of reasons to join in!
This card is also for the current Sketch and Stash Challenge and the Cute Card Thursday both of which need to use Neglected Stash, mine is this cute paper pad which I've had for yonks but not used very much. And that's it! Thanks for stopping by!

Colouring - Copics
Papers - 'Sparkly Sweet' by K&Co and Gemstone Core'dinations

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #48!
Good morning! It's time for another Truly Scrumptious challenge! We're back after our month of for Christmas and New Year with the sad news that Mina and Debbie M have decided to step down from the team, we'll all miss their fab cards!
This fortnights challenge is this sketch with the optional extra of 'Dreaming of Summer'! I took this literally with this cute little dozing hedgehog, plus I also know 4 people expecting babies in summer (all in a 3 week period - there must be something in the water!) so I'm sure this card will come in handy!
This is also for the following challenges, Papertake - Anything Goes (with the optional extra of Lace - mine's of the paper punched variety!), Simon Says Stamp - New Beginnings, Crazy 4 Challenges - Celebrate Something and Top Tip Tuesday - Use Metal (mine are the little green brads holding the sentiment on)

Debby's Fave 5 cards of 2010 challenge!
Hello again! And Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a good time celebrating! I can slowly feel everything getting back to normal, how depressing, I love the party season! I just thought I'd pop on here to join in with Debby's Fave 5 cards of 2010 Challenge!!
Firstly this one, I love making baby cards, you can be unashamedly cutesy! And this image is so cute and the papers are some faves of mine.
This card just came together really well, I love the red and blue, stars and stripes theme and I love a bit of doodling!
Again, a baby card (with such an adorable image!) and 2 of my other staples, Kraft card and Pink Petticoat!
I've always liked making mens card, I'm not sure why! But I love this image and the PP Papers look really funky too!
And finally, another fave theme of mine is Halloween! This Frank Bride is so sweet, I love the colours in this card and the spooky silhoutted leaves!
And that's all folks! I'm feeling a bit crafty so I might be back soon with a new card! Bye!
