Penny Black Saturday #21 and DT news!

Happy Saturday everyone - or should that be 'Soggy' Saturday! This week, Tracie has had the unenviable task of selecting new DT members and not surprisingly has doubled the number of spaces! Pop on over to see the new recruits! A good choice I'm sure you'll agree!
This weeks challenge is 'Get Sparkly - Bonfire Night'. I struggled a little I'll be honest! I'm still not too sure about it - maybe it's the addition of a peel-off or my hand drawn fireworks! Never mind, I hope you like it!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Sending Love' (with the tree cut off!) by Penny Black coloured with Whispers
Paper - Pink Petticoat 'Happy Haunting' download
Peel-offs - stash
Gems - Create and Craft
Fireworks made with Quickie Glue pen and various glitters

Papertake: Dawny's Sketch #1

I missed out last weeks Halloween challenge so hopefully this can be for both! The lovely Dawny has started designing sketches for Papertake in place of Katharina, and the first is a fabby one! I couldn't fit the 3 dots under the image though - I hope she'll still talk to me!! I was too impatient to wait for the glue to dry before I took the picture so the ribbon looks a bit naff! Again, more Pink Petticoat papers (I was thinking it would be good if Pink Petticoat did Halloween papers as I don't have any - she must have read my mind!) I finished it off with a doodled spider and her web! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Stamp - Witch from Kerry-Jo set @ Debbi Moore Designs coloured with Whispers
Ribbons - Ribbon Mad
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Happy Haunting'
Sentiment - from PC
Charm and star brads - stash

Tilda & Friends: Halloween Spooks

There's still lots of snow on the ground here, it's so strange! Luckily I'm off today and don't need to even leave the house - good job as there's half-term snowball warfare on my street at the moment!
Here's my ATC for this weeks Tilda and Friends ATC challenge which this week is Halloween Spooks. I don't have any Halloween themed Tildas, Alotas or Nellies etc, so I've improvised and turned Ballet Maggie into Witch Maggie! I drew her a little hat and a spider web then used this cute Pink Cat Studio cat for her little companion! She looks like she's casting a spell! I thought I'd give her green lipstick but it kind of looks like she's been eating green sweets! Maybe she's been Trick or Treating! I've also used one of the fab Pink Petticoat downloads, although I think there was a virtual stampede and the website went down - oops! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Stamps - Sugar Nellie 'Ballet Maggie' coloured with Whispers, Cat from Pink Cat Studio set
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Happy Haunting' download
Sentiment - made on PC
Stars - black one punched from Bazzill Bling, orange one from Poppicrafts

I think we all deserve a laugh!

Dawn is having a wee challenge on her blog - with a difference! "All you have to do is take a photo of your crafting space/room and if you're in the photo even better (and if you have any furry crafting buddies I would love to see them too~!!!" I couldn't be in it as I was taking the photo, so Poppy kindly took my place! As you can see, I have the worst craft space ever (yes, this is my spare room floor!) and should win on pity alone!! We were hoping to move this year but the flippin' 'credit crunch' put paid to that and our house wouldn't sell so we're stuck! I say 'we' as Jamie is always asking me to put it away but I can't possibly!! Bless him!

Also, do you have snow where you are? I have never seen snow like this in October, especially in the south! Here's the views from my house, it's so pretty!

One more thing, I've just finished a cross stitch I started a couple of months ago and I thought I'd show you! I got it off Ebay and I think it applies to lots of us!

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my waffle!

Tagged and an Award!

Ooh, Tracie and Sandra have tagged me!! Here goes!
Here are the rules:
1. Link your tagger and list the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of the post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

This is going to be tricky!

1. I'm a hairdresser and my claim to fame is cutting Gok Wan's hair about 2 months before he appeared on TV and he was lovely!
2. I love cross stitch but none of my friends know this, I don't know why, I just feel a bit granny-ish telling them! Sorry! ; )
3. My favourite food is Mexican fajitas, yummy!
4. I can't resist a large chilled glass of Pinot Grigio!
5. I'm LOVING planning my wedding and can feel a career change coming on - if only!
6. I'm going to be an Auntie in early March next year and I'm soooo excited!
7. I use far too many exclamation marks, you probably already know this!!!

I've also received this seasonal award from Pauline C thanks so much Pauline!

I'd love to pass both of these on but it seems I've been beaten! If you'd like either, feel free to nab it!

Tilda & Friends: Open theme & a swap!

I had a bit of time before we left this morning to make this ATC for the Tilda and Friends challenge, I didn't have time to put it up! The theme is an open theme but if you post it to Shary (details on the blog) she'll swap them and post them back out, who knows who'll end up with mine! I thought I'd go for a bit of a 'rock' theme!
