Penny Black Saturday #42!

Hello again! Sorry for not being around this week, but blame it on my mojo who also hasn't been around! Thanks so much for all the gorgeous entries last week, we loved seeing all your doodles! This weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge is nice and easy - Spring! Interpret as you like! We've got a gorgeous prize of a set of Penny Black clear stamps from our lovely Jackie (she also has the cutest puppy by the way, have a peek! - not as a prize though!!!)
Here's my card! As I'm having some creators block, I decided to use a really simple layout and just fiddle about with the image, so I stamped it 3 times and did a little decoupage! I'm quite pleased to be honest! I hope you like it and hopefully I'll be feeling back to normal next week! Thanks for looking!

Oh my goodness, week 3 already!! We had so many entries this last fortnight and it's been so lovely to look through them! This weeks Truly Scrumptious challenge is a sketch by me! I hope you have fun with it! It has to attract a Magpies eye and feature something shiny, mirri card, a charm etc! Here's my card which has both plus some shiny silver brads! I've used one of the gorgeous Leanne Ellis Sugar Nellies, I love this one so much, it's so unusual I think, plus a lot of yummy glitter on the flower and her polka dot background! Bit of a catch up!

**Scroll down for this weeks ABC and Spoonful of Sugar challenges**
I've had a bit of time for card making today so here's a couple from the challenges in the week.
Firstly, one of Dawnys fab sketches for Papertake and yet another Mothers Day card, this time it's because I showed Jamie the card I'd made for my brother and he said 'oh is that for my mum?' so I've made another for him to give! She's quite a stylish lady and just re-done their kitchen in lime and black, it looks amazing! So that was the inspiration for this card. I've used some gorgeous digi papers from Summer Driggs, she makes lovely designs and gives them away for free!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Butterfly' by Little Claires Designs coloured with Whispers and Stickles
Papers - 'Limeade' kit by Summer Driggs
Sentiment - Doodlebug
Gems - Ribbon Mad

Penny Black Saturday #40!

Happy Saturday everyone! Yey, it's the weekend (even though I work every Saturday - boo!) This weeks Penny Black Saturday is a fabulous sketch by Tracie - it's a goodie! Although my card is not! I don't know why I don't like it and the photo looks even worse! It's quite sparkly in real life! Oh well! I coloured the stamp in with Whispers and then blended it out with a water brush, then added little pink 'flowers' and covered them and the proper flowers with Glamour Dust, I hope you like it more than me! The prize this week is amazing! A $25 voucher for Simon Says Stamp! How cool?! Thanks for visiting!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Fantasy' by Penny Black water coloured with Whispers and Glamour Dust
Paper - K&Co McKenna
Flowers, lace & ribbon - stash

How good was Comic Relief last night?! I loved it! At work, we got everyone to wear red and pay £2 then I made Fairy Cakes and charged a minimum of 50p, we made a total of £62!! (There's only 18 of us!) Not bad I thought, I wish I'd taken piccies though! I hope you all had fun! xx

Basic Grey #25!

I don't know how I'm typing this, my arms feel like they're made of lead after yesterdays exercise! Here's my card for this weeks Basic Grey challenge which this week is a sketch. I've decided to make another Mothers Day card, no I don't have 2 mums but I know from experience that my brother will text me and ask me to make her a card about 15mins before he needs it!! I've used these gorgeous Bittersweet papers from Basic Grey and this Butterfly stamp which I got at the Make It show, I've 'popped' up the wings more than the body - not sure if you can tell! Friday Sketchers #42 & Colour Create #6!

A bit of a challenge combo card here I'm afraid! I've used the fab sketch from Mumur at Friday Sketchers (although I've flipped it, moved the text and replaced the flower with a bow - hopefully it still counts!) and this weeks Colour Create which is Orange, Yellow and Green. This worked out perfectly because I'd already decided I wanted to make my mum a Mothers Day card with this fab Daffodil download from Chris - Sketching Stamper and the colours suit down to the ground! I think I'm back off to bed now - I thought it would be a good idea to meet my friend for a 9.15 Body Attack class at the gym, only she then followed it with 45 mins of free weights and running!! I feel like I've been run over! Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies-
Image - Sketching Stamper (79p - what a bargain!) coloured with water colour pencils and highlighted with Sakura Stardust
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Pistachio' little big dots & 'Sunshine' little swirls (orange paper from stash)
Border - Fiskars Threading Water punch
Ribbon - stash
Gems - Creative Beadcraft
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat
Corners - Cuttlebug die

Penny Black Saturday #39!

Hi again! Better late than never! Firstly, thanks so much to everyone who entered last weeks challenge - I've been so rubbish in visiting your fabulous blogs, I promise I'll be better next week! On to this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge, it's a Recipe - 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower, with a prize of 2 Debbi Moore stamps kindly donated by Kath up for grabs!

Here's my card using this cutie little mouse and more Sweet Shoppe papers (I buy the Quarterly Assortments by the way - not the whole shop!) Word of advice - don't try and punch through paper + card + double sided tape - I thought I'd was going to break my beloved MS Doily punch : ( It made it though, don't worry! I've been a little bit cheeky and used the flower on my image as the flower in the recipe! Have a great weekend!
