Hello! I'm not sure if I've mentioned on here but I signed up for the Stretch your Stamps Online Card class. It started on Monday and I'm really enjoying it! I haven't made a card for Day 1 yet as there's some supplies I *need* to get! ;-) But here's my card for Day 2. We were looking at Collage stamps and I used the techniques demonstrated by Shari where she layered first the butterflies with white embossing powder, then Distress Inks, then the collage stamp and 2 different metallic embossing powders. I think it says a lot about me that I only had sparkly embossing powders! So I used a clear one with a subtle silver glint and a more full on glittery silver. It gives a bit of a muted, patchy - in a good way - look. I have to say I'm really chuffed with it! I took some inspiration from Ambers card too but cutting up my butterfly stamps and also with the sentiment, I kept the layout a bit more 'me' and simplified it, and added some twine to tie in the kraft card base. It's a pretty picture heavy post but I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Really lovely card. Colours are so nice on the eye. I haven't had the courage to cut up my Tim Holtz Papillion stamp set yet although I cut up a Hero Arts background stamp in a previous class.
gorgeous card and that background is so effective! love it!
