Love You card (SSS Feb kit #4)

Hiya! I just about managed to find my ipad under the mountain of cards, chocolates and flowers! Not really! ;-) But I'm back with a quick post with another card from my Simon Says Stamp February card kit (I think I've managed about 6 or 7, not bad!) This one is very simple and all but the dies come from the kit. I've made it for this weeks Colour Q colour scheme and also CASologys Love theme. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentines Day!

Supplies;
Cardstock & patterned paper - Simon Says Stamp 'February card kit'

SSS February 2015 Card Kit #2

Evening all! I'm back with another card from the card kit - and I've managed to squeeze in a couple more today too so I'll be back with more - having a kit definitely seems to be a mojo booster for me :-)
This one is a bit of a masculine style valentines card, and it's a shaker too! I've used cardstock, papers & sentiment stamp from the kit and added in some Freckled Fawn wood veneer hearts and twinkly twine.
I've used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch, Virginias View 'Shaker Card' challenge, Just Us Girls 'Love' theme and also the current Card Concept photo, I've used the love theme plus woodgrain.
Thanks for looking!

Supplies;
Papers, cardstock & sentiment stamp - Simon Says Stamp February card kit
Wood veneer shapes - Freckled Fawn
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Early Espresso'
Die - X-Cut 'Nested Hearts'
Other - acetate & twine

Anniversary card

Hi! I hope you're having a good weekend! Jamie is under strict instructions not to look on my blog - I doubt that is a great hardship ;-) as here is his anniversary card. I got the idea from this weeks CASology challenge of Date (although I think I may have lots the CAS look) and made a little officey style card with a calendar marked with our anniversary, a little staple holding the layers together and a typewriter font for the greeting. The paper and calendar are both Simple Stories and the sentiment is Winnie and Walter. I've used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch along with this weeks Colour Throwdown challenge. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Fathers Day card

Hiya! I'm having a very lazy day today but I've managed to make a card. I wanted to get all the ones I 'have' to make for the year before the baby is born, so far I'm up to everything I need before August so not too bad! Today I've made a Fathers Day card for my dad. I thought this weeks Pals Paper Arts colours were perfect for a male card and I combined them with this weeks Just Add Ink sketch. I used some funky alphabet stamps to make the focus of the card. The navy panel was plain originally but looked a bit drab so I stamped in the matching ink with a woodgrain texture - not sure it shows, and I've since straightened out the wonky twine! ;-) Anyway, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're having a good weekend! :-)

Supplies;
Stamps - Sweet Stamp Shop 'Monogram Alpha', Mama Elephant 'Sketchy Letters' & My Favourite Things 'Western Borders'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Cajun Craze', 'Night of Navy' & 'Naturals White'

Embossing folder - Cuttlebug 'Herringbone'

Happy Birthday Dad!

Hi! It's not actually his birthday til the beginning of June but I'll have a newborn by then and I'm not really sure how much downtime (if any) I'll get! I've made a shaker card using this weeks My Favourite Things sketch. I'm also going to enter into this weeks Seize the Birthday Anything Goes challenge and the 3 little circle/letter elements on the sketch count towards the Three Thirds theme on CAS-ual Fridays too. I thought these little letters would look fab in cork in the circle elements. I used the Scattered Stars die to make all the little stars for the shaker window, not too sparkly for a male card :-) Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!

Supplies;
Papers - Lawn Fawn 'Lets Polka'
Dies - MFT 'Scattered Stars', 'LLD Little Letters' & 'Sentiment Strips', Simon Says Stamp 'Holiday Shapes' and circle & square Nestabilities
Sentiment - MFT 'Birthday Princess'
Other - DCWV adhesive cork sheets & acetate

Cheers!

Evening all! I hope you've had a good week! I re-claimed my craft room last night after it became a storage room while we decorated our bedroom! It's all lovely and finished now so I have my little space back and I made this card. It's for my Brother-in-laws birthday next month. There's a few steps to how I made the beer glass so I'll explain - if you're interested! ;-) I started with some Crushed Curry card stock and matching ink which I smooshed onto my craft sheet. I then mixed in some white embossing paste to make it a paler version of the card stock colour. I used the Falling Snow stencil and the now yellow embossing paste to make beer bubbles in the glass. When that was dry, I cut it to size, inked the edges with more Crushed Curry ink and then gave it a few spritzes of Colour Shine Gold spray. The Cheers was cut out 5 times, glued together in a stack and covered with Wink of Stellar in gold. I'm going to enter this into this weeks CASology challenge of Wet and also this months Virginia's View challenge of Stencils. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Supplies;
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Crushed Curry'
Paper - Lawn Fawn 'Let's Polka'
Die - My Favourite Things 'Celabratory Greetings'
Stencil - Simon Says Stamp 'Falling Snow'
Other - Wink of Stellar 'Gold', Heidi Swapp Colour Shine 'Gold Lame', Dreamweaver Embossing paste 'Glossy White' & a black gel pen for the edges.

Bottoms Up!

Hiya! I'm back to share another card I've made, this time just because I loved this new Lili of the Valley stamp set. I thought it would be great for male / female / old / young cards. This time around I was going for a older, gentleman type feel! I kept the colours muted (these are actually from a Christmas pad!) and the embellishments to a minimum. Thanks for looking!

A bit of Nautical!

Hello! I'm back again with a card I've just made. I've made a few recently but haven't got round to sharing them on time - plus a couple of duds I'm not willing to share! ;-) So I'm popping this up while I think of it. I love the nautical theme doing the rounds and the moment so I made one in the theme. I've used this weeks Freshly Made sketch but it looked too red with the sentiment in the bottom corner so I shifted it to the top - I hope that's ok! I also made it using Nicole's Papertrey Make it Monday tutorial - I definitely didn't make it seem as easy as she did (this was my 3rd attempt!) but I liked the waves card she made so this is inspired by that too. Thanks for looking, I hope you're well!

Fancy Pants!

Hello! What a lovely day! I'm sat here with all the windows open - such a welcome change from having the heating on!! I'm back with another card. I bought the Fancy Pants Trendsetter pad last month and I absolutely love it but love it in the kind of way where I don't want to cut into it! But when I saw it was the inspiration for this week Colour Throwdown challenge, I thought I'd get stuck in! (I've made a second already with the positive from this die cut so I'll be back in a while to show you) Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!

Ok, final Valentine's card!

Morning! I hope everyone enjoyed stuffing their little tummies with pancakes yesterday! I most certainly did! ;-)
As the title suggests, I've finally decided on a Valentine's card for my husband! One was too pink, one was too sparkly, but in 3 bears fashion, this one is just right! :-) Although I'm thinking of doodling an 'I' on the little heart to read 'Valentine I Love You', thoughts?
I hope you like it and thanks for popping by!

Way to Go!

Hiya! I hope you're all having a good week and haven't been caught up in too much snow! We got about 2 inches on Monday morning but it was gone by lunchtime and that was all - fine by me!
I've just popped in to show a quick card I made yesterday. I got some of the Embossing Diffusers and my first thought was they'd be great for one layer cards. As this weeks LIM challenge is one layer week I had to try it! That's when the problem hit - this is the only sport or exercise related image I own! And I live with sports loving man!! I've had this little stamp for years though so I'm glad I've found a use for it! I coloured it with a white gel pen then went back over any mistakes with a black fine liner. I then used the same white pen to give some borders, it looked a bit lost without those. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Challenges;
Less is More - One Layer Sports/Exercise
CAS-ology - Blue
Addicted to CAS - Embossing
CAS-ual Fridays - Round of Applause (encouragement & a circle)

Happy Hexagons!

Hello! I've just popped in to show you a card I've just made while watching the Wimbledon final! Come on Murray! Anyway, it's made using some of me new Papertrey goodies including the Happy Hexagon die & Stamp set! I love these and was so excited to get these, I hope I can do them justice as the DT samples were amazing! I've used mostly paper scraps apart from the striped hexagon is one of the stamps. I used the tips from Nichole Heady on her blog about how to place the hexagons in the pattern. Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!
