Christmas jumper cards!!

Hi! Excuse the blogging break, just been super busy with making 90 wedding invitations and being a mummy - all good stuff! :-) I'm back to share these cards with this Christmas jumper stamp set from Stimson Says Stamp - I love these stamps!! Totally up my street! I'm planning on using up a lot of my christmas patterned paper stash with these, and these are the first 2 of many!

The first one is using this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch along with this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Kraft card and the current Merry Monday challenge of Non traditional colours. I thought the blue & gold from this Bo Bunny pad was an interesting option.

Papertrey August Blog Hop Challenge

Hi again! What a drizzly bank holiday we're having! Hopefully this card brightens you up a bit. It definitely makes me happy; pink, gold, polka dots, glitter, ooooh! ;-) It's inspired by this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

I've had this gold glitter embossing paste for a little while so when I saw the photo, I embossed a panel with a polka dot stencil and left it to dry. Then this morning I made it up into this card. I think I'll do that more, I get put off using pastes because of the drying time. It looks kind of gaudy in the photos but its lovely in real life :-)
I'm also entering this into the current Seize the Birthday anything goes challenge, this weeks CASe this Sketch and AAA Cards challenge of stencils. This is also using techniques from the Stencilled Online Card Class (see, told you it would take me ages!! Haha!) Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Stencil - That Special Touch 'Large Polka Dots'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday'
Card stock - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'

Stencilled #1

Hello! I hope you've had a good weekend! Not sure if you've seen but there's a sale on at Online Card Classes. I love these classes but never have a solid chunk of time to take part in them so don't want to spend the money. However, as they're now both finished and cheaper, I thought I would take the Stencilled class in my own time. I've got quite a few stencils but need a jump start to use them. Here is my first card using Debby Hughes' sponging technique & card idea. I've made it in my fave colour scheme; coral & gold, for the following challenges - Avery Elle - Die cuts, Addicted to CAS - Celebrate, Less is More - Anything Goes & Simon Says Stamp - Embossing. I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the card but I've stamped Happy Birthday and a little cupcake to go with the sentiment. I hope you like it, I'll hopefully be back with tomorrow with another card.

Supplies;
Stencil - That Special Touch 'Large Polka Dots'
Inks - Distress Inks 'Tattered Rose', 'Dried Marigold' & 'Worn Lipstick'
Sentiment - Avery Elle 'Cake & Candles'
Candle - Papertrey Ink 'Wishes Come True'
Dies - Papertrey Ink 'Fillable Frames #1' & 'Wishes Come True'
Other - gold embossing powder, gems & vellum

Cheers!

Evening all! I hope you've had a good week! I re-claimed my craft room last night after it became a storage room while we decorated our bedroom! It's all lovely and finished now so I have my little space back and I made this card. It's for my Brother-in-laws birthday next month. There's a few steps to how I made the beer glass so I'll explain - if you're interested! ;-) I started with some Crushed Curry card stock and matching ink which I smooshed onto my craft sheet. I then mixed in some white embossing paste to make it a paler version of the card stock colour. I used the Falling Snow stencil and the now yellow embossing paste to make beer bubbles in the glass. When that was dry, I cut it to size, inked the edges with more Crushed Curry ink and then gave it a few spritzes of Colour Shine Gold spray. The Cheers was cut out 5 times, glued together in a stack and covered with Wink of Stellar in gold. I'm going to enter this into this weeks CASology challenge of Wet and also this months Virginia's View challenge of Stencils. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
