Birthday Butterfly!

Hi all! I'm typing this quietly as I may have overdone the vino with friends last night! Oops! ;-) But here's a card I made yesterday using the beautiful Isabelline papers from Pink Petticoat, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love grey and yellow together! Our lounge is soft grey and cream with lilac accents but I'm trying to persuade Jamie to change the lilac to yellow - maybe this card will help my cause! Have a lovely saturday whatever you're up too! Stay warm! ♥

Home Sweet Home!

Hello! Yep, its Monday again, urgh! Never mind! Here's another little card I've made, its for my friends Gordon & George who moved house this weekend (Hi if you're reading this - although I hope you aren't as we haven't given it to you yet!!) The papers are a Tilda stack I think, I can't find them anywhere online though, sorry about that. Also, the key is from a little set of bronze keys, which I don't really like! But I squidged one into my Versamark pad and covered it with silver embossing powder and voila! So much nicer! I lost a little of the detail but that's fine with me :-) Thanks for popping in!

Penny Black Saturday - January Challenge!

Hiya! Happy New Year to all my lovely blog readers! I hope you had a lovely Christmas break. I've been to New York! Hee hee! It was Ah-Mazing!! Slightly marred by both of us being ill but we'll brush over that! I even got time to go to a little craft shop called the Ink Pad. The only paper crafting and stamping shop in NYC apparently, I find that quite odd but there you go! :-) It was crammed full of lovely things, I could have easily spent a couple of hours (and quite a few dollars) in there but I managed to get a few little bits while Jamie hung around waiting for me!

Any-hoo, the reason for this (slightly late) post is there's a new Penny Black Saturday challenge! This one is very appropriate considering I'm back to work tomorrow, January Blues! Yep, we'd like to see mostly blue tones on your cards & projects. We've got vouchers to be won from The Ribbon Girl, J&C Creations and 1-2-3 Stitch!

Here's my card, I thought it was a perfect challenge for a baby boy card (shame it wasn't January Pinks as my cousin had a little girl on new years eve! I'll get cracking on another one for her!) I broke out the Papertrey Hexagons again. I've not used them without the in between bits before but as this card is bigger than the cover plate, I just laid it over and popped the pieces in before removing it and moving it across the card, I love the effect! Sort of like a little baby's blanket! Right, I've rambled on quite enough for one day so here's the card, thanks for looking!

Wild Birthday!

Hiya! As promised, I'm back with more cardage! This one is for my brothers girlfriends birthday in december (ooh get me all organised!) We're both partial to a bit of leopard print here and there and especially a drink or 2! I decided to use a glossy black cardstock, Worst. Idea. Ever. I shows every speck of embossing powder, fingerprint, smudge! Arggh! So please don't look too closely! Thanks for looking, I hope you're having a lovely saturday!

Penny Black Saturday July & a blog hop!

Morning lovely people! It's time once again for a Penny Black Saturday challenge! The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed the lack of week number on the title of this post, and it's change to a month! That's because from this weekend we are now a monthly challenge! We'll have a new challenge on the first Saturday of every month so there's even longer to join in!
To celebrate we've had a little bit of a makeover and we're kicking things off with a Blog Hop! We've loads of prizes to be won this month and a few Guest Designers joining in the fun! So, hop on the Penny Black bus!

If you've just hopped here from our fabulous guest Andrea's blog then you're heading in the right direction, if not you need to go back to the Penny Black Saturday blog to start at the beginning and make sure you don't miss out on any goodies hidden on the DT Blogs!
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning a prize is hop along our bus route and leave a comment at every stop! And here is my prize;

A £10 voucher to spend at one of my fave shops - no link to Penny Blacks or personal gain for me, just the shop I tend to look to first for crafty stash! Just leave me a little comment and I'll pop you in the draw!
This competition closes on Thursday 2nd August at 8pm GMT. Good luck!
From here you need to head on over to the lovely Debby's blog!

I suppose you'd like to see a card challenge somewhere here! This weeks theme is Summertime! No, seriously, it is. Let's hope we can coax the sun out from behind the clouds!

Here's my card, and please excuse the truly awful photo - I took it on my phone when my camera had run out of juice and there was hardly any light - brilliant combination! I'll take a better one when I'm home from work today (I'm doing a bridal party's hair this morning - poor things, I hope they won't look like drowned rats by this evening!)
 **Edited with a better picture**
And that's enough from me! Enjoy the hop and have a great weekend!

Truly Scrumptious #80!

I've made a mens card, possibly for Jamie's brother in law who we're seeing on saturday but whose birthday was yesterday. It might be a bit cute but not sure if I'll get a chance to make another - we'll see! Thanks for looking, I hope you like it! Have a great wednesday - nearly the weekend...kinda!

Truly Scrumptious #79!

Hello! Mega quick post as I'm meant to leave for work now - oops! I'll fill in the gaps later!
It's for Truly Scrumptious and the challenge is Distressing & Die Cuts/Punches.

*Edited to add - Sorry for the rushed post! This week we're sponsored by the lovely Simon Says Stamp and you can win a $20 voucher!

Here's my card, and I have to say, I hated it until I added the die cut flourishes on. It just sat there on my desk annoying me until I thought I'd pop those and the heart on, now I think it's OK! I made it using some Echo Park digi paper which I printed in Sepia. Then I didn't have any ink which matched so I used these dark inks on their second impression and I quite like the distressed look it leaves! A happy little accident! The wide ribbon is actually 2 pieces of the same ribbon side by side and the paler ribbon is a hanging loop from one if my mums tops - she saves them all for me! The glitter card is ages old and from Create & Craft I think.
I hope you like it, thanks for looking!*

Penny Black Saturday #191!

Good morning! Another weekend and somehow it's March already!?! But I'm on holiday now until next Monday!! Woo hoo! Although I've worked out, for CC launches and DT cards I've got 22 cards to make! Wowzers! Good job there's some football on for Jamie this weekend! ;-)
Here's my cards for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, and, as it's the first Saturday of the month again, it's time for a CASE it challenge, this week we'd like you to CASE this fab card by Domi! You can choose whatever inspires you, maybe it's the image, card shape or colour scheme - up to you!

And there's 2 lovely prizes to be won, first up, this stamp from Penny Black Inc...
then, this gorgeous ribbon bundle from The Ribbon Girl!

Onto my card, and you should know that I don't really do shaped cards, I will if I have to but I never think I get them right, so I chose to case the grey cat image, purple and blue colour scheme, layout and the zig-zag edges and border. I hope you like it, thanks for coming to look! xx

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #75

Good morning! I hope you're all well! Lulu watch went really well at the weekend! We managed to play with her all day with no naps so by bedtime, she went out like a light! Also, no 'nappy situations' which was a result! The 6:30 Sunday morning start wasn't so great though! And now I've got that weird feeling before you have a week off work when it seems like the last few days are the hardest struggle ever!! Just today and tomorrow to get through then 10 whole days off!!

I'm back here to show you my card for this weeks Truly Scrumptious challenge, we'd like you to make a Shaker card - guaranteed to get you thinking! ;-) This challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and they're offering a $20 voucher to their store!!

And here's my card. I really enjoyed making this card! I used the foam circles in the Circle Shaker Set from Jody Morrow, it made the whole process so much easier! The only thing I would change though is not using Flower Soft for the shaky stuff, it keeps getting stuck halfway up the window! I also used some Twinklets and crystal glitter. Thanks for popping in!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #73!

Good evening all! Sorry this is a bit late, work is soooo busy and I've a few other things bubbling away which I can't show just yet ;-)
But there's a brand new Truly Scrumptious challenge and it was my turn to choose the theme, predictably I went for Love & Hearts, I thought it wouldn't limit people to just valentines day, maybe a wedding or anniversary.

Every entry will be in the running for a $20 voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp!

Here's my card, I got it into my head that I wanted to use the postage element idea on this weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge, I'm not sure it goes and I lost my way a bit about what I was doing! Hopefully you'll still like it! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!
