Neutral Christmas card set

Hiya! Warning, this is a pretty long post! I've made another set of Christmas cards, 3 this time, and for a few different challenges.

Firstly is my own challenge. I've watched Kristina Werners holiday card series for the last 3 or 4 years and every year I've said I'll make a card inspired by every day - only just managed day 1! Haha! Though that's one better than previous years :-) It's fairly easy to see how I cased this card though instead of grey I used beige, instead of silver I used platinum and instead of the embossed background I used this beautiful patterned paper (hopefully in the close up you can see the shine on this paper) It's from this gorgeous pad from Buttons for Brains - love it!

This second card is using this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. When I was making the previous card, I didn't know whether the gold or platinum embossing would go best so I made both using this gorgeous sentiment die and 2 layers of powder. Then I stamped and embossed the snowflakes and half the sentiment in the same gold.

Then for my 3rd card I used the other half of the gold sentiment this weeks Merry Monday challenge of neutral colours, snowflakes and dry embossing. All 3 of these cards are for this weeks Muse challenge which was to make 3 cards using die cuts, cream and a single sheet of paper - this is where I bent the rules, I only use 6x6 paper and only had one of each sheet so I made all 3 cards using papers from the same collection, I hope that's ok! Snowflake card

Hi! Me again! I'm here with a Christmas card today to add to my woefully small stash of them, best get cracking! I've used some gorgeous glittery paper and gems from the Winter Woodland collection available at Buttons for Brains. I almost didn't use this paper as I like it so much - only a sentence that would make sense to a crafter! ;-)
I've used the new MFT sketch along with this weeks Merry Monday challenge of Spots and/or stripes, and also the current AAA Cards supply list challenge of vellum, glitter, a stamp, a holiday and kraft. I stamped these gorgeous MFT snowflakes onto vellum with glittery powder to give them a floaty look, it's hard to photo but really pretty in real life. I also used the same embossing powder for the sentiment and the spotty vellum panel under it. I hope you like it, thanks for looking :-)

Sparkly pink christmas card

Hi! I'm back with a card I've made using some of the gorgeous new Gilded Winter papers from Buttons for Brains - they're beautiful!! I've also used one of the wood veneers from the Winter Woodland collection, normally not a pairing I'd use but I flipped the veneer over to the plain side, smooshed it in VersaMark ink and covered it with embossing powder to match the papers. Then a generous helping of gems & pearls to make a girlie Christmas wreath :-) All this was inspired by the current Festive Friday challenge photo, and the layout is this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. I've also used the top line (Sparkle, Patterned Paper & Embossing) of this weeks Merry Monday challenge. Thanks for stopping by :-)

Buttons for Brains DT card

Evening all! Wow the weekend has gone already! I'm back this evening to show you a card I've made using gorgeous Glitz supplies from Buttons for Brains. I've used some fab paper & a die cut sentiment from the Black & White kit. I've made this card using this weeks Muse card as inspiration for the layout, and turned it into a shaker card using little hearts as my shaky bits! :-) And also another entry into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. Garden Party Birthday!

Good morning! Well, today is my due date but still no sign of Baby Steward! :-) I've been keeping myself busy making a pregnancy scrapbook - having a project on the go is definitely the way forward!

I'm back today though to share a card I've made using the gorgeous Garden Kit from Buttons for Brains. This one is focussing on the gorgeous papers and I've combined them with a bit of stamping and die cutting, I think I'll save this card for my mums birthday in August. Ive used this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch and I'm also going to enter into this weeks Creative Inspirations challenge which is Birthdays, and Simon Says Stamp Die Crazy challenge. Buttons for Brains Thank you card set!

Hiya! Happy Saturday! This is quite a photo heavy post but I've been playing some more with my Garden Kit from Buttons for Brains and I've made a set of thank you cards - I'm realising you can never have too many! I've used papers and flowers from the kit plus some of the coordinating sparkly butterfly stickers. I kept them pretty simple as I was making the 4 at once and I thought it would be nice to let these papers do the talking. All I added to the kit was one die cut flower, a Clearly Besotted word die, some Wink of Stellar glitter pen and some faux stitching with a white gel pen. Here's a little piccy of the kit, it's on offer at the moment too! Here's a link! :-) 
Liz has also just added some new pads & embellishments to the shop, here they are!

I've used this weeks CASe this Sketch for the layout and inlaid the thanks die cut words instead of the heart. I'm also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Flowers challenge and this weeks Papertake challenge of Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty & Pink, and gold!

Hi! I'm back today with a very girlie and sparkly card :-) Both the Curtain Call challenge and Just Add Ink have gorgeous photo inspiration cards full of loveliness so I tried to combine my ideas of them into this card. I used possibly my favourite stamp set of all time, from Mama Elephant and embossed it in gold onto the vellum, added this onto some pink polka dots and more gold, then added a scattering of gold hearts & shimmery sequins plus a couple of strips of gold glitter tape - yum! I would have added gold chevron washi tape if I had some, but I don't! :-) I'm also going to enter it in to this weeks Papertake challenge of Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by!

A couple of cards and some news! :-)

Hello! What a gorgeous day! Perfect for sitting inside in my craft room... :-/ Not really, which is why this is such a quick card this morning! It's for this weeks Muse challenge which is this gorgeous baby card by Gillian. I cased the baby theme plus the simple layout with a popped up stitched panel. I've also used this weeks Less is More challenge of 3 colours or 3 of one colour, I've gone for the latter. It's one ink pad but its a Kaleidacolor ink pad of various blues, I just inked my sentiment with 3 of the bands of colour, quite subtle but gives a nice ombré look :-)

Now for my news, the very lovely Liz from Buttons for Brains has asked me to be a design team member for her new shop! She sells gorgeous card making kits using loads of the fave makes, Basic Grey, Hero Arts etc! Very cool!

I've been playing with the Garden Party kit this week, all the links will be in the supplies list below for any of my cards :-) I made it for the Paper Players sketch but as I was making it, the challenge was ending!
