Tagged!

I've been tagged by 2 fellow bloggers (Sandra and Mel) and here's the rules: Go to Pictures on your PC, select the 6th album and the 6th picture, upload it to your blog and explain what its about, then select 5 people to do the same! I couldn't have chosen this better myself, I love this photo! Jamie hates posing for photos and this is one of the few I've got with us together when he isn't pulling a stupid face! (He'll kill me for putting this on here though!). The story is, we were at my friends Mark and Laura's wedding in July last year and about 5 mins later, I fell flat on my face in front of everyone just as we were about to throw the confetti - not good!!

Now for the tagging! I'm going to choose Pauline, Kath, Dawny, Nikki and Marlene! Don't worry if you don't have time, just a bit of fun! I hope you've all had a nice weekend!

There's a fantastic prize of £15 voucher from 7KidsCollegeFund and 10% off for every entry! Pop over and see the gorgeous DT cards too!
I've made my card using this pretty PB stamp, not the usual cute! And I've decided to try and use up some of my blank cards stash as I tend to make my own blanks now and these are just sitting in a draw! Whiff of Joy #15!

Crikey, can it be true? I've completed a challenge on the day it was set?! The Whiff of Joy challenge is one of Katharina's infamous sketches! I didn't want this card to be too girly or cute so I went for this cool champagne stamp, I think it will come in handy for loads of occasions, and I didn't add too much glitter. Again, there's a little bit of Safmat! I've put in an (albeit blurry!) close up to show the sparkling champagne and the shiny ice-cubes! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Champagne Cooler' by Whiff of Joy, coloured with Whispers, Sakura Stardust and Glossy Accents
Papers - Pink Petticoat 'Old Fashioned Girl'
Border - Martha Stewart Doily punch
Sentiment - made on the PC and printed onto Safmat film
Ribbon - from a jumper!
Corners - Cosmo Cricket QVC set
Eyelet - Doodlebug
I can't seem to get settled with a blog background so I had a tinker today and made this pink and brown one. The link to the papers are at the bottom of the page, maybe I'll stick to this one!

Spoonfull of Sugar #34 & Papertake: Dawny's Sketch 6#!

Hi again! I've decided to do a challenge combo to fit a few more in! This challenge is for Spoonful of Sugar, which is Paper Piecing, and Papertake, another fab Sketch from Dawny (I can't believe it's #6 already!). I've used this cutie pie Daisy stamp from Sugar Nellie which came as part of my prize from lovely Debbie! I've also discovered the wonders of Safmat film! Dawny recommended this to me ages ago and I've just got round to getting some! If you haven't heard of it, you basically make you own rub-ons by printing on to it, so I've used a fancy corners doodlebat font to make my own swirly corners! I've also used it for the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Daisy' from Sugar Nellie coloured with Whispers & Sakura Stardust
Papers - K&Co 'Sparkly Sweet' & Basic Grey 'Sultry' (pink)

I've also recieved a couple of lovely awards, thank you so much for them! I'll pop them up at the weekend!

Tilda & Friends: New Year, New Stuff!

Another challenge I'm pretty late with! The theme on Tilda & Friends is to use either your crafting Christmas prezzies or something you've recently bought for yourself. I've decided to give my new 'Nellie another airing. I thought with a black bob she has a sort of continental sassiness about her, so I added some black lace and a saucy sentiment! I also gave her a lovely pair of shiny boots with glossy accents and on the heart too! Thanks for looking, I hope you like it! Oh by the way, you can use any cute stamps for the challenge now so there's no excuse not to give it a go! xx

Supplies-
Stamp - 'Luvvie' by Sugar Nellie coloured with Copics and a white gel pen
Paper - Papermania Christmas pad from ages ago!
Lace - Cuddly Buddly
Rub-ons - American Crafts
Paper roses - Mad About Cards

Spoonful of Sugar #33 & a Pink Petticoat competition!

This is quite a long post - make sure you're comfy! I'm a bit late making this weeks Spoonful of Sugar card but it was a fab sketch from Nikki so I didn't want to miss out! I'm also combining this for a Pink Petticoat competition set by Liz, which is to alter your papers in some way, ie, layering the printing or glittering over it. I decided to layer but a bit differently. I printed out the negative design of Pretty Doodles in Duck Egg Blue, and then printed the positive design in Envy, it fits perfectly inside the white areas (providing you put it th right way up in the printer!)and makes a whole new look! I felt a bit mean entering this for two draws so a made a second using the same sketch and printing with Blossom then Rose.
The cute images (if you were wondering) are from my lovely PB team mate Domi (thanks so much!) and coloured with Copics. The swirly bits around the flowers are thin strips of card which I then curled (I pinched this idea from Bev's blog! Thanks Bev!) It's so dark today - excuse the photos! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Stamps - Hanglar StAnglar, donated by Domi and coloured with Copics and a white gel pen
Papers - 'Pretty Doodles' from Pink Petticoat

Ribbon - hanging loops from a jumper!
Lace - Cuddly Buddly
Flowers - stash (the small pink flower was origionally white so I coloured it with the same colour as the dress)
Buttons - stash
Sentiment - computer generated

The Sugar Bowl #1!

OK, I'm sure everyone has seen the Sugar Bowl challenge by now and I'm glad it's fortnightly or else I'd be too late! The first challenge is a sketch by Tiets and I love it! I've used one of the new Leanne Ellis designs from my brother for Christmas, she's so cute and easy to colour! I've gone super-girly with this card! For the third layer of the sketch, I wanted something see through, I racked my brains for ages (I started this card on Friday night!) and decided on a square of gems. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Supplies-
Stamps - 'Luvvie' from Sugar Nellie coloured with Whispers, Copics and white gel pen, with doodled edges
Glitter card & gems - Create & Craft
Papers - Dovecraft 'Hint of Pink'
