DCM: Plastic Fantastic

"I dare you to look again at the plastic packaging around you and transform it into a brand new card. It could be food packaging, craft packaging or just something plastic that's destined for the bin or recycling."

I don't have a die cutting machine or anything to make normal plastic fancy so I used this plastic packaging that came with a Ghost perfume set at christmas, I knew I'd saved it for a reason! I wanted to se able to see the swirly pattern so I kept the card quite simple, with a flower, ribbon and some glitter. It's actually see-through, but that doesn't really show! Hope you like it - despite the photo!

I'm away now for a few days so hopefully I'll catch up with more challenges next weekend, take care! xx

DCM Little Extra: Oh so juicy!

"Now on to this weeks little extra (just to keep you on your toes !) :) This weeks little extra is an idea from Mel. Oh sooo juicy -oh so juicy - make a card using lemon or orange toned colours."

I couldn't resist using my new Pink Cat stamps! With just a few PP papers, a couple of gems and a little bit of ribbon. I didn't manage to get any yellow in there but hopefully that's not cheating! Thanks for looking!xx

Scrummy Stash Cafe: Get in Shape!

"We challenge you to create a project that is focused on just one shape. So it could be circles, triangles (!!!), flowers etc. Ok we won't be totally mean here and say that you can only use that shape!!! As long as it's based on that shape you can have a wee bit of artistic licence ;-)"

I had a disaster trying to cut a circular card! so I just used a square one with round spots, then round buttons and a round sentiment done on the PC, hope you like it! xx

Arty Girlz: Green

This weeks challenge on Arty Girlz is to use green on your project, and as I'm just getting into ATC's, I thought I would make one using the Funky Hand ATC's with these cool little campervan toppers, a freebie on Mad About Cards (here's the link) but I liked all the other colours so one....

....soon became six! I love this retro style! Thanks for looking xx

Blog Candy prize!

I've just recieved my fabulous Blog Candy prize from Hannah (http://hanscraftycreations.blogspot.com/). 2(!) sets of Pink Cat Studio stamps and this gorgeous card (the light is awful today and the photo doesn't do it justice!). I love it! Thank you so much! I'm now going to play with my new stamps! xx

Arty Girlz: Stamping

"This week's challenge is 'STAMPING' so we would like to see any kind of stamping on your projects this week...using any stamps that are in your collection :)"

I'm a bit late with this one! I've used one of my Damask Delights stamps with white embossing powder then did a watercolour wash with varying orange-y shades, then used another of the stamps across the top with the same colour inks. The photo looks weird and I'm not sure if I like it - oh well! Thanks for looking! xx

Papertake: Spring in your step

"This weeks challenge - 'Spring in your step!' is to make a card (or other item!) with a spring theme!"
I thought this DCWV spring paper fitted well, I just added a little stamped Penny Black hedgie and a couple of flowers. I was sat in the sun making this card, now I'm well and truly in spring mode! I hope it's been sunny where you are! xx

TMTA: Insects

"Now it’s insects. There are so many of them - butterflies, dragonflies, bugs, spiders or ants - what kind of insects will you show us?"
I tried to be a bit arty with the lettering but I think it just looks weird - hee hee! The paper is from a sizzix stack, the dragonfly is from Pink Petticoat and the ATC background is a Funky Hand ATC template. Thanks for looking! xx

DCM: Love and Friendship

"Keryn and Rachel are daring you to make a card in the theme of love and friendship for one of the special people in your life. It could be a valentines card, a thankyou for a close friend or a way to propose to the man in your life on the 29th February."
I decided not to go for the proposal option! I've made quite a simple card from my usual Pink Petticoat addiction! I've paper-pieced this little stamp and added a ribbon and some spotty paper.
I've got a free day so hopefully I'll make a few more bits - watch this space! xx

DCM Extra: Love is in the air!

"This weeks little extra is to give us a card with a romantic theme AND to use both red and black ribbon!"

I still hadn't made my boyfriends valentines card - oops! So I took this opportunity and made one using bits and bobs from my stash, I wish I could remember where the paper was from, I only had one small sheet! Also added a doodled border - I'm getting into this doodling malarkley!

Only managed this card today, hopefully I'll have more time at the weekend. Thanks for looking! xx

Papertake: Simply Stripes

"This weeks challenge is 'Simply Stripes' - quite self explanitory really lol! This weeks challenge is to use stripes on your project!"
Here is my card using up some stripey paper that came free with a magazine yonks ago! I've also watercoloured a Penny Black stamp and made some corners, hope you like it, have a good evening! xx

DCM: Template challenge

Here is the DCM template for this weeks challenge:

And here is my card using a cute stamp from eBay(http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Xelacrafts - there's loads!) coloured with my trusty Whispers markers. Also a computer sentiment and more Pink Petticoat papers. Thanks for looking! xx

Scrummy Stash Cafe: Whole lotta lovin'!

"Yes this coming week brings Valentine's Day and lurve is the focus of this weeks challenge!Wechallenge you to create a project with love in the theme."
Here's mine using some spotty paper and some doodlebats from the DB Cherish font on
Scrap'n'font (they've got a dollar sale til thursday!) xx

TMTA: Child and Bird

This weeks theme was tricky: "Create an ATC on which the two items - child/children and birds - are combined in an overall picture."
I didn't think I had and children or bird images, but then I found a little bird in a SeeD's set and the boy is part of a christmas stamp where he's standing in pyjamas with father christmas! Also used a couple of the Woodware flourishes stamps. Hope you like it! xx

DCM: Little Extra - Doodling

The midweek extra on Daring Card Makers this week is 'doodling' with a fab tutorial. Here's mine using a Lola image, DCWV ribbon and I've doodled some faux stitching. That's me done for a few days, work always seems to get in the way! xx

Arty Girlz: Frames

"This week's challenge is 'Frames' so you could use cardstock to make a frame, do a stitched frame, a buttoned frame, alter a frame, doodle a frame.... there's so much you can do for this challenge and we can't wait to see what you come up with."
I've had a bit of time this week so I've been able to do more challenges, I'm not sure how long that will last! I've not joined in an Arty Girlz challenge before so here goes! I used a font called Bleeding Cowboys (nice!) in a frame I made from Pink Petticoat paper and my Fiskars frame cutter along with some little flowers from the last ever Little Silver Hat kit : ( I hope you like it! xx

Papertake: Blooming Gorgeous!

"This weeks challenge 'Blooming Gorgeous!' is to use floral embellishments on your projects! These could be Prima's, silk, wire stemmed, die cut, handcut etc! etc!"
I bought this PaparMania stack and havn't had a clue what to use it for! So I coloured some of them in and decoupaged a few with brads to make embellishments. Thanks for visiting! xx

Suzanne's Blog Candy

Suzanne at Slumber Cards http://slumbercards.blogspot.com/2008/02/16th-february.html has set this challenge for some of the gorgeous new Lola stamps,
"As you may or may not be aware I love the colour lilac.... your challenge is to make a card with this colour on it. I don't mind what type of card or what layout as long it has lilac somewhere!!"
This is my entry using some shoe stamps I won on the CBC forum and some handmade sparkly papers and a few gems thrown in! Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments! xx

Scrummy Stash Cafe: M is for Monograms

"Today's challenge is a chance to dig out those rather large letters and put them to use on your project, stick 'em, paint 'em, distress 'em, it's up to you, just make sure they're large"
My first Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge! I've used a big 'h' covered in Pink Petticoat paper, wrote ello then a little flower! Thanks for looking! xx

TMTA: Cats

I've wanted to get into making ATCs for a while and never got round to it, but noticed on Andreas blog that the theme on TMTA this week was cats and I couldn't resist - I love cats! Anyway, here's my ATC, I used a matting block for the paper, the cat image is a DW dingbats ('z'!) and I stamped and embossed the wording. Hopefully this'll get me into making more. Hope you're having a nice day! xx

Funky Fairys: Rip it up!

"This weeks challenge ladies is to throw out them scissors LOL,
for this challenge I would like to see ripping and tearing on your cards please ,
more the better dont be scared once you start its a whole new world!"
I'm obviously in a girly mood today! I've used some of the Pinkie Pops papers, some blooms and a little Paper Mania rub on. This challenge suited me as I'm rubbish at cutting evenly and always end up with a smaller card than I wanted! xx

DCM: Red & White

We want you to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it. So there you go !
I thought I'd have a go at a pop up card! Using a little bit of Pink Petticoat (again!) and some blooms. Hope you like it! Beth xx

Papertake: Hearts Desire

"This weeks challenge is 'Heart's Desire!'. Please could we see some hearts (or a heart lol!) on your cards this week? Already done your Valentine's cards? How about doing a Wedding / Anniversary / engagement or birthday card! We don't mind which - as long as there's a heart or two...or three.....!!!"

Quite a simple one from me using a Pink Petticoat flower and some hearts paper which I think is DCWV, I may be wrong! Thanks for looking!
